Once again, more questions!

Sorry for my questions posts. I promise I will try to make this my last as asking questions can get quite annoying for you guys. My first question was that if you require 5-6 hours of sleep before your REM period (which has the most vivid dreams,therefore the most likely time period for your LD's to happen) and you need it to do various induction techniques (WILD,HILD,etc..)how can you have an effective WILD before a nap?

Also, would it be possible to have a DILD during your first 5-6 hours of sleep?

If anyone knows any possible answers for these questions please add your comments to this post..And thanks in advance!

I think the answer to your first question is: You are less likely to slip into the deeper levels of sleep during a nap. Your body isn't gearing down for full, restorative, sleep. It is simply resting lightly. Think of it as how a cat sleeps in a sphinx position, straight up, still alert even though it seems that its body is shut down. You are more likely to have vivid dreams in a nap because you are closer to the REM wavelength (if not already in) during a mid-day nap.

And yes, it is very possible to have DILD's during your first 5-6 hours of sleep. Your first REM cycle starts approx. 90 minutes after drifting off to sleep. Anything after that is fair game.
