Has anyone here ever lucid dreamt of what appear to be enlargements of simple microscopic organisms, floating around?
Nope, cannot say I have, but it would make a pretty cool Lucid Task of the Month some time :)
Have you had such an LD? If so then details please, it should be interesting.
Well, nobody has replied in the affirmative, which is a shame.
Yes, Seeker, I have had many such LDs.
I once read in a book about LD that there were two basic types of DC. The book stated that there was an LD technique to differentiate between the two types, which was simply to point your little finger at them, at which point they would either morph into "light/energy structures", or they would remain unchanged. These, then, were the two types of DC: those that morphed into "light/energy" and those that didn't, if you pointed your little finger at them in a lucid scenario.
So I tried it, and when I did, it worked 100%, a complete success, but the "light/energy structures" didn't look like I had imagined: they looked just like enlargements of simple microscopic organisms, floating in the air.
I've done it many times since, and it always works. The DCs either morph, or remain unchanged. Bizarre..
..but what is really weird is that it doesn't always only work with DCs: it works with all dream objects too: they either morph, or they remain unchanged. Get your head round that.
Well, every thing either changes or does not.
This works in real life too. Try it. Point your little finger at something and see if it changes. I imagine that if I point my little finger at a table, it will not change. But if I point it at a person, they will change their expression and even make noises that sound like she is saying, "why are you pointing your little finger at me?"
"Just testing a theory," I'd of course say.
I've tried this my self and had some very interesting results. In addition to the changes of expression and noises that you describe, I've found that when doing that to certain people for prolonged periods can create a strong burning sensation in my eyes. Further investigation into this phenomenon revealed it to be caused by pepper spray.Quote:

Wow, this is dangerous, then!
Perhaps we should restrict our work to small animals. I tried it on a cat and it ran away.
