I was thinking the same thing the whole time I was reading this thread. It's too bad we tend to separate math and creativity as if they are polar opposites. I think it's because of the way we're taught in educational systems. There really is no such thing as "illogic" because logic (math) always exists in everything -even in "chaos." I think a true artist will be "good at math" -even if he/she cannot explain mathematical concepts/equations to someone else. I'm a musician and poet/lyricist, an artist, yet many of my dreams are mathematically oriented (usually in regards to music and geometric shapes, images, etc.) I'm learning that I do not (or at least should not :D ) hate math as I'v thought in the past, since math and art are integrated and intertwined.

I remember one dream where a teacher was trying to get me to figure out an equation on the chalk board. I got frustrated, because just as I was about to understand and give an answer, the equation would change. Instead, I took control and used the chalk board to mentally draw out shapes and images... almost in a connect-the dot type manner, but fluidly. When I did this, the shapes and images began to take on a
3-D quality, and it was as if I were architecturally helping create a new dreamscape. The imagination is truly a wonderful thing and LDers have the opportunity to stretch and mold it to develop the heart and soul!

Wow, Im the same as paperdoll, horrible at Math. Great at English and art :P
