Only Dreaming
Some weeks when everything seems so wrong all I do is sleep.
During those times my life just seems to revolve around dreaming and lucid dreaming. I don't go to my classes, I don't want to eat, I don't want to do anything but sleep so I can dream.
I can't help but compare LDs and dreaming during those times to drugs.
All I want to do is get away and not wake up.
LDs are addicting. Dreams in general are addicting.
Could it be possible LDs may not be good for certain types of people because of the effects it may have on their lives?

Do you mean when you are depressed? It is normal to oversleep when you are depressed, or to not sleep much too, It depends if you are overactive, or underactive. I don't think lucid dreaming(or dreaming in general) could be a problem unless you make it one  .

I just realized in the past few days they've become and obsession.
I'm wondering if that may be bad.

It's not bad, it's actually good!! :) I've been obsessed by dreaming ever since I had like my first dream, I always love dreaming, spend the whole day remembering my dreams, some even forever, discuss about them with friends, etc. Dreams and dreaming is just the best, there is nothing wrong with it, if there should be anything wrong about it, it would be not giving a crap about'em. Keep dreaming :D

you may be worrying more than you need to. Be thankful that if you have an addiction, it is sleep. It's not toxic like drugs, or necessarily provokes long term consequences. It's more productive of an obsession than anything else. Can you LD while you're at it? There' s nothing wrong with that. Of course, dealing with the depression is good too. Just try to see what your dreams try to tell you through this emotional period.

What's on your mind, kiddo ?
It definitely sounds like a little bit of depression. Any time you seek
retreat of any kind from the world there is a cause. As far as Lucids being
addictive, I don't think so. Not by themselves. If you're having problems that
make you feel like you need an escape, and you choose sleep as that escape,
then that practice is bad. The choice to become dependent on anything for
comfort that supercedes your daily life and responsibilities ( eating, class )
is no good. Some drugs like pot and ecstasy can have an effect on your
bodies ability to produce serotonin which in turn will cause feelings of depression.
If that doesn't pertain to your lifestyle you might want to think about what
is going on in your life that you might be trying to avoid. Sometimes things
like bills or relationship stress or even just a demanding schedule can make
me feel like staying in bed. Fight it though.RC.
