Dreams of flying usually mean you are consciously out of the body. You may think yourself in different places in time and space and instantly be there. If your flying around and loose altitude or think your going to crash ive read it means you have a fear of exploring higher dimensions and breaking out of limits. Just keep trying the worst thing you can do is be afraid. Like i said in other posts your thoughts or fear are only slowing you down from more exploration.

What im saying is you have probably experienced one and not even been aware of it just afraid of the experience. Why are you scared of the idea. It cant hurt you.

Are we a little moody today? I don’t consider myself fearful of anything you asked a question I answered it. Excuse me but I have experienced many OBE. Ive experimented with meditation practices As well as taken hallucinogenics for studies. One thing i can tell you is meditation is a better way. Fear of the unknown is totally normal, and very limiting. Good luck and hope you find a way to overcome it.

all i know about OBEs which i could be wrong, is that you "come out" of your body in a ghost-like form? that's what i think from what i read. somehting like that i guess. see? i really don't know. all you have to do, is simply give me an idea of what it is. and possibly tell me how i can try to do it, or SOMETHING. ANYTHING. i'm clueless. and so far, after all the posts you've made, i am still just as clueless as i was when i posted this.

to change the subject....How would a person have verifyable proof they were seeing another place,or is it a place in your minds eye and not reality on earth...I dream of flying but sometimes cant get higher than the telephone polls, and fear makes sense, but more a fear of heghts and I dont beleive myself sometimes when I'm lucid dreaming, I'll say I know I'm dreaming, but it feels so real that I dont trust myself to take the risk ( like jumping off a cliff ) any thoughts

You got it. Its not an easy thing to explain nor teach. Aneas had a good post on OBE and higher levels of vibrations or planes. where he explained higher levels of energy or vibrations. I totally understand and agree with that but its different than the way i would explain it. I will try and come up with a better explanation and something for you to try.

Today i stepped out on my front poarch and sat in my favorite chair at 2:50pm. On my beer drinking spot... Fully sober... Took 15 mins to meditate. Found myself floating above my house ready to fly anywhere in my imagination. I flew to my favorite cities. San Diego and Boulder Co. I could go on all night but im not much of a scribe.
I only spent 30 minutes, woke in enough time to leave by 3:22pm to pick up my son at 3:25pm at nearby elementry school. Now whats the difference between lucid dreaming and meditating to high planes.
I had full control no fear. I was aware fully awake and not dreaming.
Just try to meditate during the day and you will see dreams are constant its where your at within yourself not where youare dreaming.

From what I'v gathered an out of body experience is where you leave your dream body. Thats all I know though

An OBE is really quite self a explanatory term. Just think about it. Out of Body experience. That MUST be an experience where I've felt I've left my body behind. People have OBE's dreaming, medidtating, after and before surgeries, during traumatic events, on entheogens, even during sex and I'm sure in other ways too. Regardless, I don't think it's something that can be described, except that it was an Out of Body Experience. At least that's what I've been told, is that you really have to experience something of that sort to understand it completely. I've never had an Out of Body Experience, I've had things that I believe were close, through the use of entheogens, however I have a problem letting go of my physical body. I can feel myself just at the edge, but I can never let completely go. I hope this helps.

First, I appreciate your comment about my OBE post, Curios. I wasn't sure if it made sense to anyone. As Second Attention said, the OBE is an out of body experience. I believe that your body is only an organic vehicle that you utilize to experience the phiysical realm. The Astral body is also a vehicle, it is not the final product. We gain so much of an attachment to the physical body that it would probably be too much of a shock to go immediately to the final goal, which is to become "pure consciousness" with no physical shape whatsoever. When you experience an OBE you are simply navigating in the astral realm, which is as illusionary as the physical realm, but with fewer concrete rules.

Look at it as a classroom. You graduate and move on to the next grade. When you are traveling in the astral world it is possible to learn from others who have "risen" to higher levels, and are thus capable of interacting with those still in the lower realms. And you can also interact with beings who exist in a "reality" that is as real to them as our present reality is to us. The bottomline is that in order to consciously leave the body you most put forth the effort on a daily basis, and above all you must NOT be afraid the first time you do gain the experience. The beauty of it is that once you are able to leave it will become easier each time, much like the lucid dreaming ability.

Try this technique: Lie in your bed, allow your eyes to become focused on one point on the ceiling. Breath in for a count of 5, hold it for a count of 3, then release it slowly for a count of 5. Hold it for 3 and repeat the process. Concentrate on slowing down you heartbeat. When you have reached a point of total relaxation imagine that your body is on a swing moving at a high arc forward and backward. Feel the rush and at the point of an upward swing imagine that you slip out of your body, much as you would do if you were jumping from a swing.

Don't be disappointed if you don't get immediate results. Be persistant. You may eventually slip out and not realize it until you go to stand up and turn to see that yuor body is still on the bed.

Ok so I am gona do some explanation before I get to my explanation

The spirit that is "you" the one that hears the little voice in your head or left knee...( try it, you only think its in your head because your ears are there and your used to hearing auditory which includes vocal info through them. But there is no sound is there if its within your mind.)

So this spirit is in resonation with your brain the physical you, The brain is basically just a game controller, or something of the like, your 16 switches. your body the end product on screen moving and such.

They have found that people manipulate quantum desicions through observation.

So your spirit manipulates certain points in your brain this occurs at times nearing -10 e14 of a second... thats very very very fast... too fast actually, at those instances time acts a little weird, kind of like when you get matter near absolute 0kelvin (where there is no atomic resonance/movement) It starts to become something thats not matter and acts funny. Well anyways, the spirit is able to inact an enourmous amount of energy/force...Will... on a few quantum desicions... namely the ones in your brain, the ones that fire the neurons, that amplify into muscular movements.

But you say but the neurons work on chemical signals.. no, they just recieve them, the ones they send out are originated from the electrical signals that the spirit produces.. ok so this is the feedback loop that is your senses, our spirit can observe these reactions the neurons make from the chemical interactions...

so Spirit =>manipulation of neuron=>electrical signal=>body movement=>senses+(something I will discuss later)=>chemical signals to neuron=>spirit

This is how I think we work... now the reason no one is telikinetic here is due to the amount of will needed to manipulate an entire object on a times scale that can be counted in normal seconds is enourmous you also would have to match resonation with every atom in that object, you are working agains the will of others too. The reason we can manipulate the neurons is again due to the scale, its f*$#ing tiny. And furthermore its hidden so no one else can observe whats going on in there. Also every brain resonates at a different frequency, now this aint radio, you dont have to be close.. you have to be exact, our spirits also have a particular resonance that they are affiniated to, remember the scales, this is tiny ass shit. So thats another reason, no one is on your exact frequency.

So that is my explanation of spirit kinda, and makes me beleive it exists, so now on to OBE

The spirit simply detaches itself from the body, but you said the body requires input from the spirit to breath and stuff... not so, breathing and all other life functions are controlled unconsiouly through a much more primitive structure called the meddula which handles all this stuff on its own, sure it can receive signals though so you can hold your breath and some people can control their heartbeats and blood pressure. those wacky monks can even controll their entire metabolism.


So the spirit detaches itself from the body, OBE's you see and you seem flying and you dont feel very much, from my experience. no senses other than sight how do we see though, we dont have that sensory input from the eyes is very complex and the reception ov light, a very powerful and basic form of energy in this universe is a near instant change to an electical signal which our spirits interpret, yes there is chemical reactins occuring too the primitive brain takes input from this too... some things require visual input to survive.. oh shit thats a clifff the ground is far away, =splat

In an obe you can see a lare area usualy flying but it is still limited.. our spirit can only observe so much at one time so we do move about.

So thats how we can see in an OBE,

is it dangerous

Sure... what if you lose sync with your host brain? people end up in comas... and they never wake up their primitive brain keeps em going, they even show some higher brain activity sometimes, our brains grow as we do neruological circutry changes and can cerate feedback loops... memories....you ever almost get hit by a car? the sound of screeching brakes will induce a slight instance of fear in you , these are physical /surviaval memories, not the memories of your spirit, which include other lifetimes if any.
I will go into how we form some other time.

Usualy those instances are caused by an extreme shock to the system.

When you INDUCE an OBE you are in much better shape staying in sync with your host brain, and can return to it usualy without much problem

There are other forces out there... and they can be nasty if you encounter them... Spirits that are lost, confused... just angry...

They can interfere with you and even dissasociate you...

but remember the scales... the chances of you finding another spirit that is pissed off or whaever is so remote...

Great Job serinath in your explanation. Did you read my other post on the this kid who OBE and 1 timed saw a shawdowy figure. It rushed for him or his body and then he woke him self up out of fear.

But y would u want to take the chancce of slipping into a cooma or getting stuck in another plane or meeting a disgruntled spirit. Ill stick with Lucid dreaming.

if you get good enough at obe's would you be able to travel to somewhere you have never been to, and view that place as it is in real life

can obe's be done in dreams so you dont risk getting hurt or something

1; There is nothing but you keeping you from seeing new places by use of OBE.

In normal dream you are still linked to your body so its not Outer body, remote viewing is a little sketchy but supposedly the KGB did ALOT of experimentation using it.

It seems to be what I am here for.

During one of my OBE's I experienced the most beutiful music I have ever heard. I could hear and feel the vibrations of a stringed instrument. I began to float towards the music as if riding a gentle wave. I have no memory of the rest. I have been able to experience sound on most of my obe's, although I could also feel it as well (the vibration of sound). I only encountered one "spirit" while outside my body that freaked me out a little. It was more mischievious than anything negative.
