      Drugs, and lucic dreaming.

Unfortunately, I am a very heavy cannabis smoker. To stop smoking would cause me great stress, and as of yet I do not see in myself the strength to overcome the endeavour. I love getting stoned; it’s one of my greater pleasures.

However, from investigations, cannabis has adversary components that directly hinder the lucid experience. Even though, in my experience, cannabis heightens all the senses and enhances the imagination the theory that I’ve discovered on these forums is that it alters reality in such a way a lucid experience is impossible under the influence.

Is it possible, or has anyone ever, had a lucid experience under the influence of cannabis, or alcohol? To what extent do these substances affect the lucid experience - from your personal experiences? Finally, how many smoke tobacco, drink tea or coffee here?

Well...I am a cannabis user as well. ( There...the secret is out.) I have not had any problems with lucidity. I guess if I use it A LOT on a particular evening before I go to bed my recall is not so great...nor is my lucidity, but as long as you are not using in excess...I think you should be okay. I guess my experiences have been the same with alcohol.

As for tobacco...I quit...I am on day number 12! Yeah ME! Coffee...on occasion. Tea...on occasion.

Thank you, cocoastar. At least now I know it's at least possible. Maybe I should stop getting stoned, drunk and lighting up a good ol' ciggie right before mummy tells me it's bed time then, huh?

Yeah...I think that would be best. I usually don't use at least an hour or so before I go to bed.
