I am very figity at night and liek to move around alot. But what I do is lay right on my back and just start from the top of my body to the bottom and make ti feel heavey. I try to make myslef feel so heavy and numb. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doenst. It woudlnt hurt to try though.
yeah, i have the same problem.
i'm one of those fidgety people who are always wiggling a foot, or silently drumming on their leg, etc, so when i'm in bed its no different.
if i'm going to attempt WILD, i make sure that i go for a really long run, or have an intense workout during the day to expend any extra energy.
and i do something similar to barbizzle. i'll lay on my back, and start in the middle of my forehead. i'll imagine a heavy weight pushing down on it. when the sensation is realistic, i'll move the feeling down my body.
Cool, takes about how long?Quote:

it depends...sometimes only about 5 minutes for my entire body.
sometimes 25. and sometimes i just plain give up :D
You need to focus on mental activities and forget your body. That way you won't have a problem not moving it. Why are you moving it in the first place if you don't want to and it serves no purpose? Makes no sense to me. Just lie flat and go with your mind.Quote:

oh boy
lying still is ni impossible
phantom itches
high pitched ear buzzes
have the covers over you, it's an oven
throw the covers off, it's freezing
unable to swallow, mouth too dry, need a swig of water
somethings crawling up my leg
car headlights sweep across room
bugger, too much swigging, need the loo
bathroom light too bright, can't open eyes fully, hit the seat
back to bed - bedroom's too dark, tread on something sharp
some more itching
lying on back, can't breathe properly
lying on front, teeth grind together
lying on side gives you that weird falling sensation
now **** phone's bleeping at you
.....

I don't want to be abusive, but you need to quit whining you little sissy. Only because things don't work perfectly doesn't mean you can't relax. Think about it... the whole purpose of relaxing is not giving a shit and relaxing. All you do is complaining, no wonder you can't relax. Practice some meditation during daytime.
lol @ sissy
think it's more a nightly caffeine crash than being scared of the dark
Just... don't move...
And if there is something you have to move for, dry throat, a really bad itch, coughing, just do it and lat back down and relax again, it shouldnt take long.
I used to be unable to fall asleep on my back. I am quite comfortable now with lying on my back. Only sometimes I just have to move becouse I am not laying nicely...
Falling asleep is still way more easy on my side btw...
Anyhow, get used to it :) Just lie still bitch :D <3 ;)
Korittke...there is no need for name calling and being so judgemental. Check your attitude at the door, mkay?Quote:

Now...back on topic...I lay on my back. Arms straight at my sides. Legs straight. I find that when entering sleep paralysis if I have any of my joints bent they will REALLY start to ache. Make sure your head is in a good position or else your neck will start to hurt. Just let your mind wander. If you have an itch...scratch it...otherwise you'll just get distracted and not be able to stop thinking about it. Most importantly BE PATIENT!!! I take awhile to fall asleep. So when I WILD...I have to lay there anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half before I enter a lucid dream. But it's not all bad since your body will become numb pretty soon...for me about 15 minutes.
I totally agree with the bent joints aching.. ESPECIALLY THE NECK. Geez, first time I attempted a WILD (last night :D check out my "First WILD (almost) thread in general discussion) I had constant neck soreness but I was afraid to move it when I was so close to getting a WILD, :shakehead2: silly me.
What's the delay from SP to LD? I'd assume it varies from person to person, but are we looking at 30 mins or so? Or (hopefully) about 5 mins?
