arg.. wish I had ITV4... :(
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!, I don't have IVT4 either.
Fuck I don't live in the UK.... Why don't they broadcast it on BBC >=/ I do have that...
lets write them a letter.
This has been on itv before all i is is about is people with sleeping disorders and stories of sleepwalking ect
ut it does have some interesting theories on the different stages of sleep
It is a new series that hasn't been on before.
Its fictional not a documentary.
I saw another ad for it last night and it didn't look quite as good as I first thought.
I'll let you know what its like.
I watched this programme last night and it was really good, you guys gotta be pissed you dont have ITV4.
It is about a group of scientists who create a machine that allows people to dream share where one person hosts the dream and the others are just participants in the dream.
They induce the dream using sedatives and transmit some sort of algorythmic signal to all of the people at once.
In this episode the police called in the scientists to use the machine on a serial killer who was in coma in a bid to find out where his final victim was.
They sent the sexy lead woman into his dream in his favourite guise (red hair, blue eyes), along with some guy who was meant to follow her and make sure she was ok. At the same time they were in the dream the other members of the team were in the real world and trying to follow the movements of the dreamers.
The woman had a minority report type glove that allowed her to communicate with the real world.
It was all going as they had planned until the killer turned lucid, this is when it got really interesting. At one point he made her eyes vanish by running his hand over her face.
Basically she couldn't leave the dream until he lost his lucidity which in the end he did when she confused him by telling him she was all of his victims.
This programme was really surreal and in some parts it was very twisted and sinister.
The only thing about it that was rubbish was that they said if you die in a dream you die in reality and the whole glove thing! What ever.
I think it may help me with my Ld's as if I dream about it I'm sure I'll realise, at the very least it was good fodder for some non lucids.
Sounds like it was pretty cool. You will have to let us know when it comes out on DVD or something and maybe us folks here in the US can find it online.Quote:

Ah that soudns like crap.
I mean, fictional... hmmm boring (in this case). In the (rather old) movie 'Dreamscape' they allso induce Shared LD's. So it's not really a new-thing.
To bad it isn't a docu =(
Well, from his description it sounded a hell of a lot like "The Cell" (Jennifer Lopez) mixed with the "eXistenz" movie.
I wouldn't call it crap if you watched it simply for it's entertainment value - certainly won't be watching the show to get tips on lucid dreaming. That's what Dream Views is for! :D
lol, yup. I agree.Quote:

Its comes on Thursday at 10.30p.m.
It reminded me of the Cell as someone else said crossed with Minority report.
