I've stopped lucid dreaming on purpose
Hi everyone, nice website!
Anyway, I, for a very long time, had extemeley vivid lucid dreaming with complete control of my surroundings, abilities, I could, for example, summon dragons to some to my aid if fighting monsters.. anything I wanted.
I taught myself this technique without having read any books.
But I noticed I started creating what I call subroutines... I always had lots of bad dreams and nightmares, so to minimize those, I created little programs so to speak that when something bad was starting to happen, the dream would change.
Anyway, I got to the point where I had so much complete, vivid control of my dreams, I got bored! I ended up with nights of me just sitting on a throne, in the middle of an endless grey mist, with nothing to do, because there were no more challenges.
I decided this boredom was worse than the nightmares, so I gradually reversed my lucid dream awareness and control mechanisms.

Hey
Welcome to the site! You have the honour of being our first registered user (other than myself of course)! I just put the forum up today, so hopefully things will pick up. I'm a little surprised actually, because judging by our logs, we get quite a lot of traffic here. Maybe people are just waiting for others to post?
Anyway, so you're bored with your dreams huh? That seems almost like a contradiction to me. Indeed, there are an infinite number of things you can do and experience w/ your dreams, thus it's impossible you've done it all. :P You could imagine yourself in various movie roles, or explore the universe or the ocean's depths, or even imagine yourself as God. Or, if you're interested in something more intellectually stimulating, you can attempt problem solving.
On a side note, I completely agree that purchasing books is unnecessary to attain the ability to lucid dream. In fact, I think I'll post a message about that.
Bored? how can u be bored?
Well your bored eh? my belief is that u shouldn't have complete contol over a dream like having an empire ect. u should be someone without control of an empire and just explore your dream, find out everything u can before u wake up, or just have fun and fly around. of course i don't have the luxury of have a lucid dream at my will...

Yes, I have often made the point that too much control simply turns off the Communication that is coming to us from our Higher Self -- Our Dream Mind. Dream Control is like talking to ourselves instead of listening to what Our Spirit might have to say to us.
But I am surprised that your Dream Self let you get away with it. For most people who try to assert too much control, they fall into a syndrome of False Awakenings as their Dream Self tries to shake off the Control.
But I suppose both your Will and Discernment were very strong, and your Dream Self intuited that all it really needed to do was to let you Win so that you could see for yourself your own hollow Victory.
Tell me, has there been any Dreams of Reconciliation. Have any Dream Guides come forward to Patronize or Sponsor you as you come back into a true Dream Interaction. Or is it all just sundry Enemies, Dragons and Foes? I would think that after you abandoned your Throne in the Grey Mists and started wandering back, that you would have been met by some sort of a Wise Old Man Archetype who would have given you some bit of encouragement along with a heart felt Welcome.
