I found a link to this program on LD4All

Basically, the idea is to play different sound waves while you sleep, and it will trick your brain into conforming to the waves it hears. I'm not an expert on this, someone else could probably explain it better, but this is the way I understand the whole thing...
each level of sleep occurs while your brain is at a different wavelength. The lowest being while you are in deep sleep, and the second lowest in which you are lucid dreaming. So here's my idea for this type of program...
I haven't actually used the program while I've slept yet, so this is all just theorizing. What if I created a playlist of these tones to listen to while I sleep that looked something like this:
-Start out at 15 Hz, and have it slowly move down to about 2 Hz. (At this point your mind should be going into deep sleep.)
-Have it play at about 2 Hz for a couple hours as to enhance the sleep you are getting so you are better rested.
-Have it move up from 2 Hz to about 5 Hz (the area that your brain is while you are LDing) over a course of an hour.
The idea is to use your first few hours of sleep to get good, well rested, deep sleep and then move up to LD-producing sleep after that when you hit your later REM stages.
I think I'll at least give it a try. I don't think it could really hurt anything. Now if only I could find my headphones....
