Who has always had LDs?
As I read everyone's posts I find that most people have been having LDs since they were children. I can recall having only 2 lucid dreams when I was little, and I can barely remember those. What I'm wondering is how many of you have been steadily having LDs since they were children?

I've been able to have them for about as far back as I can remember. After being in middle school, I started losing them because nobody else I knew experienced them and it sucks having no one to swap stories with.
That only lasted about 2 years though, and after I found out about the term "lucid dreaming" I've been having them off and on ever since.

I had 1 LD as a kid.
I think alot of people here are natural LDers (unlike me), that's why they are on this site :)

been having them since I can remember

Ive had them alot when I was kid, then it faded, and i foudn DGV. I pracitced and now I'll have random LDs without doing anything :P
-
had my first lucid when i was 19 or so. had a few year dry spell (due to not knowing how to induce them), and learnt how to have the from EWOLD and this forum the past few months.

i used to become lucid in a recurring nightmare when i was 5 or 6 (or 7ish), but i only knew that i was dreaming, not that i could do anything about it. i also had two more random lucid dreams over the years, and only started having them consistently since joining this forum.

I've been having LD's since I was young. I never knew knowing you were dreaming actually had a name until I found the DV site. I'm able to LD naturally with no supplements or doing any WILDs, MILDs, WBTBs, etc, etc. Sometimes I'll go a long time with no LDs, and sometimes I'll have several in a short amount of time. Kinda weird, actually.

I'm 40 yo and have been having them since I can remember. My Mom remembers me telling her about bad nightmares when I was around 5 or 6.
-
I had my first one at about thirteen. After that, I became obsessed with them and have worked to have more and more of them.

I've been having lucid dreams for as long as I can remember but only just realised that there's a name for it. They're relatively often and I'm lucky in that I don't need to put too much effort into it. I'm looking forward to learning more and putting into practice some of the techniques I'm hearing about on this website.

I've had them since I can remember, but it's strange.
I have no control, yet realise I'm dreaming and after a minute of gaining control I wake up. Looking forward to practicing the tecniques on this website and also gaining my recall.

I used to have alot of nitemares, somehow, I would realize that it was only a dream. It was helpful knowing that when dreaming about huge flesh eating monstors with chains and fangs. It wasnt until I was about 13 that I began really experimenting with lucidity, and only since finding this site did I know others did it too and that there was even a term for it.

i was always aware that i was dreaming when i was young in a sense, but i never controlled them besides once when i shot my friend with a shotgun... and that was about it.

Every and i mean EVERY dream i had when i was little was lucid. Because i remember that when i got bored i told myself that closing my eyes would end the dream. but i lost the ability. also, even though i had lucid dreams, I never controled them, because i never tried.
EDIT: just noticed that FluBB said the same thing as i did. good 4 us.

haha amen dude, i wish i would have taken advantage of that man!!! i had that skill and now it took me 4 or 5 months to get it back, but i am not really completely aware that i am dreamin all the time, i wish tho.

I actually didn't even start recalling dreams never mind having lucids until now.
-
I wouldn't say that I always had lucid dreams, but I had a handful (over many years) before I ever knew that there was a name for it, or that it was possible to induce them on purpose.
-
I've also had a handful or two of LDs over the years. I would probably have about one every one or two years or so for no apparent reason. I always thought those were cool, but I had not been very successful with controlling them (as far as having special "powers" goes), though there were a couple of exceptions. I wish I had written them all down so I could remember them better and know for sure how many I've had. The earliest dream I remember where I became lucid was when I was about 10 years old or so (about 13 years ago), but I lost that journal a few years back.
I believe there was a point around 1999 or 2000 where I had read a book about dreaming (I don't remember what it was) and had a series of lucid dreams for a few nights, but I didn't remember how I achieved that.
Last December I joined this forum and have been practicing. As of this month, I've succeeded so far in having one fairly short (but long enough to try some things) lucid dream roughly per night or two. 8)

Ive been having LD nearly every week until i learnt about them and knew what they were and the potential of them! That just sucks doent it!
-
Wow, I didn't know the ratio between Naturals and the rest of us was so evenly spread!
Now about me: I remember I had one as a kid. I think everyone does, don't they :?
... Don't you think that the ability is wasted on those to young to understand their full potential... Stupid universe!

well kids usually arent really "poisoned" by the world so they should have a much more open mind then the rest of us. wether that has anything to do with anything i dont know...
