How come I never experienced LDs before I found out that they exist?
Also how come I never experienced vibrations while falling asleep or even sleep paralysis before finding out about them?

About lucidity, probably because you didn't remember the dreams that might have been LDs. Take it like alcohol "brown-outs" You don't remember what happened until someone tells you then it comes back to you. :-PQuote:

As for the vibrations, you probably were unconscious or thought it was a dream, etc, forgot it. Now that you have knowledge of it you're of course more likely to experience.
Well, everyone's different. I know several people who have LD all their lives and think it's absolutely normal. Some of them have even believed that everyone is aware they're dreaming up until I tell them that that's not true. It's not necessarily something that everyone thinks about.Quote:

As for the vibrations, again, everyone's different. I've never experienced vibrationis while falling asleep, nor have I woken in sleep paralysis. As for the latter, I think that it's because I'm such a light sleeper and since I'm close to waking up anyway the SP possibly goes away earlier. That's just a theory, though.
I don't know about the LDs, other than you couldn't have been thinking about them before you knew about them. You had no basis for reference. Some people do have LDs spontaneously. I did as a child... though I didn't know exactly WHAT they were and I found them uncomfortable and even troubling.
As far as sleep paralysis, you have experienced that your whole life... what you HAVEN'T experienced is being conscious when it happens. People who don't get there deliberately often refer to it as "twilight sleep." That's what my parent's told me it was when I tried explaining it to them.
Some people have lucid dreams naturally, while others don't. If you are not one of the people who have LDs naturally, you may need a catalyst such as DV to give you one.

I know that SP is something that happens all the time, but I have never woken up and could not move before I found out about it.
