Could some one explain the adoption thing please?

Could some one explain the adoption thing please? What does anyone get from adopting or being adopted? Who should adopt and who shouldn't?

I don't really know ALL about it, but I think its just for noobs who may have questions or need advise about something.

I think its a STICKY in the NOOb zone.

I read the sticky, but there were fragments of information that didn't quite connect. I am not sure what to make of it. I am hoping that someone can answer the particular questions I asked.

Basically a 'Lucid Expert' will adopt a nOOb...a person NEW to lucid dreaming and 'tutor' them...and help them in anything they have questions about. To be their personal savior.
