      Most Badass Monsters in Dreams!

I have lots of zombie dreams, but not too many dreams that have other varieties of monsters. One of my dream had Frankenstein, another one had the life form from the Alien series, but the badass monster by far was in a dream from last night. I was in a huge hangar of an underwater station, and one of the walls was made completely of thick glass. I saw a whale speed past the glass wall as if it was being pursued by something. I knew that whatever was chasing it was one helluva creature. It turned out to be a sea serpent that was literally a half mile long and about twenty feet thick. It smacked against the window, resulting in the glass breaking and the underwater station sinking. I had never seen any creature that big in any movie I've ever seen.

What are the most badass monsters in your guys' dreams?

what a neat idea for a thread. I have never seen a monster that huge in my dreams at least that I can remember. One of the most memorable is a creature that repeatedly showed up in an old dark castle I was exploring and attacked me. It was half lizard and half large black dog, but the scariest by far (and I'm not sure why) was an alien that could shape shift into a human being. I can`t remember exactly what it looked like (it was similar to a clown in some way) but I woke up shaking so bad with fear and paranoia that I felt like I would throw up. I have never been so scared in my life...

Probably one of my most recent dreams contained one of the most interesting monster, or rather a family of monsters. This dream was quite realistic so that made it especially interesting. The monsters are hard to describe but they resembled monsters from a nightmare before Christmas, especially the werewolf. They were all overweight and had huge teeth and long fur. The mother monster was singing a rhyme and serving her husband and children a dinner of what looked like pork and blobs of a clay-like substance.

Redeyed, the shape-shifting alien / clown thing sounds a whole lot like "Pennywise the dancing clown" from the movie IT.

There are a bunch, from water, that giant, white whale the size of a small continent, with some kind of "hair" that was a light blue all over its side, orange around its eyes and blue eyes, it also had some shades of blue on its fins and an huge mouth, awesome whale it was.

I didn`t even think about that but you're right. I actually read the book IT (not the movie) very close to the same time I had this dream although I cannot remember if it was before or after. If the alien was Pennywise related, that wouldn`t be the only time he has appeared in my dreams. In the other dream he looked much more like a clown.

Wow, where to start! The first monster that comes to mind is a pale, flying pterodactyl like creature. It had a head shaped like a venus fly-trap and the wings were shaped the same. It didn't have any eyes or legs, had sharp teeth and a long tail. It was one of two that was flying around my house. Another would be one of those pincer bugs from the starship troopers movie; it killed me. Another would be godzilla. He chased me through a city. I went into an alley and he grabbed me up in his mouth and crushed me to death. But the worst would have to be a clown monster that i turned into. It was in a non-lucid dream. I was in a room with some of my relatives, they were arguing. All of a sudden, i transformed into this evil clown monster. It's hard to describe, but i had 6 in. teeth and an extremely demonic look. I made the IT clown (i've seen the movie) look like a kitten. I lost control of my body and started tearing into everyone around me. Luckily, I became lucid and stopped myself. I made the evil disappear, and turned the dream into a very positive experience.

      Nice thread!

I rarely see any monsters in my dreams anymore. I think I killed them all when I started having lucid dreams. When I have nightmares its usually being afraid of something non-physical.

I remember the monster I was the most afraid as a kid, although it's not really "badass".
It was a recurring dream. The scenery was my own room, but dark and somehow twisted. I got up and looked through the window. The sky was red, and there was a storm. I had a strong sensation of being alone, not only in my house, but in the whole world. Then I felt a presence behind me. I turned back in fear, and there it was... A garden dwarf, smiling, with a fillet knife.

i play alot of videogames so when a monster shows up in my dreams its usually related to a video game character lol. The scariest monster i can remeber was this man in a dark cloak kind of like death with big red eyes.. he showed up in alot of my dreams when i was a kid. Just hope i can have a lucid dream soon to get my revenge on him
Current task : Have one lucid dream within next 3 weeks.

The biggest monster I've seen waws some kind of gigant sea monster thing. I was swimming in a lake, then it started chasing me. I dove to the bottom of the lake and the monster buried itself into the ground and a flower with an eye in the middle appeared on the ground, it started shooting at me so I shot at it too. Then the monster reappeared, and did the same thing again. At the end of the dream the monster ate me with it enormous mouth.

I've had a good number of Vampire/Werewolf dreams... Though most of those I remember, I've been the antagonist in question.

I have one sticking out in my memory... I turned into this, oh, probably 8+ foot tall werewolf, and snuck up on this kind of roadhouse/dive bar set back a bit off the road near the woods. I kind of lurked around a little bit, then some guy opened the back door to wander out near where I was stalking... and the carnage began. *heh* Ripped the door off its hinges and jacked THAT guy with it, then charged inside and started tearing things/fleeing patrons apart. Once it started to clear a bit, I followed back out the front door into the parking lot. A police car had arrived, and a couple of cops were shooting at me from behind it. I grabbed up the squad car and THREW it... then woke up.

Kind of disturbing to me how much fun that kind of dream can be.
