LD - Is that it?
Hi all,
I'd like to find out more about people's experiences with lucid dreaming. Of particular interest are those experiences which I call 'residual'. Also, I would like to know if anyone else is able to have controlled open-eyed visualisations at will. Only highly seasoned lucid dreamers may have had such experiences, and I'd like to know if any of you could share such experiences. Please PM me if you feel more comfortable doing so.
I appreciate that this post may not make sense to about 95% of you. Apologies to that 95%, and 'Welcome' to the other 5%.
Regards.

Are you talking about manifesting reality? I am not sure about that too much, but supposedly some can create things. Don't know much about it though.

Thanks for that RW. That's one of the effects, and it's not 'supposedly'. Anyone else care to chip in?

You mean to create visions/dreams during the day (or night) while being fully awake and seeing it with your very eyes but as a some kind of a movie (while seeing the reality in the same time?)
ex. I have pretty good realistic rendering of scenes.
If I read a part in a book, the scene just shows up in my head being pretty realistic (usually when it is a scene which is not nice...) and continues to go on on its own. Same if I look at some picture or when someone tells me a story or something I could use and a create s tory from that.
ex2.
I also can "replay" my dreams in my head any time I want during day.
if yes....that's what happens to me. otherwise..I belong to those 95% of people who don't get it.

Well, I don't know if this is what you are looking for..
When I lay down.. I am awake but can slowly visualize what I look like from the ceiling looking down on me and I can with my eyes open... picture going out the roof and look down on the house and higher up and then looking down on the trees.
I am not dreaming, but I am seeing what I visualize, not what is really in the room.
I can do that too, by looking at a picture, I can then see what is beyond what the picture is showing, like, over the next hill, behind the house.. so on...
It is my own reality, but very real looking.

Um, I sometimes say dream while in class and I can become pretty oblivious to everything around for me for a few minutes and only see what I'm daydreaming... though I'm not an experienced LDer. What brings me back is actually the teacher talking, which sort of fades, and then comes back reminding me I'm in class!

In college I fell asleep once during an exam (about 5 years ago).

You mean somthing like a schizophrenic person has, but with the difference that you control it? It would be interesting, you could see dragons fly above the city, and all kind of strange things at will :) but what would be if it would got out of control.
I sometimes daydream in class, but even if I don't realize my sorroundings the daydream images are not really solid
