Dreams... Can I Get Some Info From Them?

I thought about this...

Could you use dreams to uncover past information with very good detail? Has anyone ever or maybe some past event detail by detail.

The reason I'm asking is, last night I had a dream, and a song was playing in it, it was a Red Hot Chili Peppers song (Dani California), and the beat was perfect, and I heard the words clearly. I don't know all the lyrics word for word when I'm awake, like if I play the song in my head, its pretty close to it, but the words sometimes get jumbled up, and the beat is alittle slower or faster than the actual beat, but it still sounds good. But in my dream, it sounded... perfect. I've had this with other songs as well, though they were in the past in the can't remember them, but I do remember thinking when I woke up, do I really know that song that well?

It'd be pretty useful if I could LD into some past events that I may not remember so clearly while being awake ;)

Yep, I think you'll find that what you know in the dream world is different from what you know in waking life. REM sleep is also tied to memory, that is, it's believed to be the brain's sorting mechanism for all the input it receives during the day, as well as an opportunity to recall and retain memories from as far back as childhood. So, it's not uncommon to encounter ancient memories in dreams, as well as some more complete versions of fragmented waking memories. Not only that, but we're all here to explore the boundaries and possibilities of lucid dreaming, and the latter so far seems much greater than the former; and we're still just getting started. 8)

And on a more occultish side, dreams may uncover past lives (if you believe in that sort of thing).

I re-lived my earliest memory in a dream, the funny thing is my earliest memory is a dream I recalled when I was younger :lol:

I also learned alot about myself through my dreams.

Sure, I re-lived through some early childhood memories, pretty fun. You can do it as much as you want, too.

Lately, I'm thinking about creating a person to represent my memory and subconscious and asking him all sorts of stuff about myself. We'll see... 8)
