What kinds of evil critters have you killed and how?

There are threads out there about killing dream characters but what about really nasty opponents from the dark side of you unconciousness? From viewing so many posts, most people just get scared and run. I read more about successful escapes than victories against these things.

I mean there are dreams where I'm up against a Lion (non-lucid) and all I can do is run for my life, even from large dogs or wolves. I read about people having to fight giant killer robots and hoards of zombies.... not a lot of sucess stories. Has anyone for instance ever sucessfully killed a dragon or even seen a dragon in their dreams? Sucessfully killed a powerful mythical creature or dark entity? If so tell us how you accomplished this whether you were lucid or non-lucid when you did it. Because these are the things going bump in the night that I haven't been entirely successful at defeating (not without God's helping hand at least).

I killed three six-foot tall blue owls once, before the rest of the mob of them killed me. They were pretty damned evil. :shock:

I've also killed several zombies and a few flood-like creatures. I always succed in those dreams 'cuz its just like playing Halo. Hrm...other than that, not much. Never killed a dragon, though that'd be an awesome Lucid Task thingamajig, or just a good way to spend an LD.

EDIT: Oops, forgot to add the how. Naturally, the zombies and flod were with either shotgun or rocket launcher. Both make me happy. The blue owls were with a lightsaber, though they broke it just after I cut the third one down and then they went for my face....*shudder*

Zombies are a big one, they're my main dream monster. They come apart in so many different ways it's never a dull time to have a zombie battle. Normally I crush the head with a baseball bat or cut it off with a sword, while using fire for big crowds of them. I also encounter a lot of bug-like aliens which are both nasty and hard to kill. Normally an axe or machine gun can take care of those guys but when possible a lightsaber makes the work easy.

I wish I could have killed those stupid twizzler lips that were chasing me one night.

I've tried drowning genital crabs in a jacuzzi...wait are we talking about dreams?

i've killed giant black wasps, with a rifle

and some kind of feathered, and winged t-rex, with a beak-like snout, with fireballs while jumping around ('twas in some ind of arena, and i could jump impossibly high... so that thing runs up to me, i jump, he crashes into a wall and is temporarily stunned, i fire a fireball, repeat...)

orcs from isengard, with bow & arrow...

goblins, with bow & arrow, and 1 big spear

trolls, with bow & arrow, and 1 big spear

corrupt rogues, from diablo 2, with some kind of boomerang-yoyo-shuriken or something


those are it, for as far as i can remember,

lol, these are great. in one recent dream that became lucid i was confronted by a squat little goblin/dwarf creature who was trying to kill me with giant knives. when i couldnt escape i realized that i was dreaming. so i flew towrads the hobgobblin and somehow shrunk him into my hand and squished him into a speck of dust between my two fingers. I then flew up and deposited him into the gutter on roof of my house.

in other dreams like this where i am being attacked by zombies somtimes, even if im not lucid, i somehow manage to crush them into non-existence. this is rare though, usually im running like a scaredy cat.

I am constantly having dreams that are war related. Most of them involve me gunning down troops in an old-style Messerschmitt bf 109, also called “strafing”

Usually I don't fight in dreams but I remember one dream where I fought an army of demons.
They were pretty easy to kill, I stabbed most of them with a lance and threw some down a flight of stairs.
Killing the leader was more tricky, everytime I killed him he turned into a little paper figure and regenerated after a short time. after killing him a few times I finally figured out how to destroy him, I waited until he turned into paper again, folded it and stuck a needle through it. :lol:

It's interesting that in your dream you can just happen to have a needle. It's almost like the cartoons where they pull items from their back, like a mallet.

So I see now that I should start learning to summon weapons. I usually end up either having to take a weapon off of a foe, or I fight bare handed, or I try run for my life. From what everyone else has been talking about, it may be plausible to transform yourself into an even meaner and bigger creature, or at least summon such a creature to your side.

I once fought an army of zombies as well, but I started out in the dream with sword, armour, and at the head of an army. Usually I start out with nothing but the words, "eat me" written on my forehead.

I haven't really killed a living critter, but I have destroyed other things. Last night I shoved acorns down a tunneling tank's cannon and almost stopped it.

I find that I just run. My nightmare last night showed that I run from pretty much everything: T-rexes, tanks, guys trying to kidnap me...

In a dream world, size doesn't really matter. In the book I wrote, I had the main character have a dream where he was fighting big demons and stuff. A small bug bit his ear and made him fall asleep. So it may just be who is smarter. Think of that cliche "the pen is mightier than the sword." Whatever you can draw up will have just as much power as you let it.

Rather coincidental, but only last night i had a LD in which i being attacked by thousands of evil clones, just like the numerous agent smiths in the second and third matrix, and i found that often summoning weapons happens without thought, as i found a katana right in front me, which soon sorted them out...strangly, i think i found the katana even before the clones appeared...odd!

not to forget that these clones were road-sweepers eh? XD

I've gone through a few Condemned style fights and a few martial arts fights, they're always good fun. I came up against a massive amount of massive spiders once, I used a pair of flaming tourches to keep them at bay as I moved deeper into the nest. I woke up before I reached the Queen though.

I am NOT killing a Dragon (See cutom title), I have seen Dragons in dreams a few times, and non of them have tried to kill me. I once watched two Dragons fighting, after exchanging claw slashes, one of them bit out the others throat, and there was lots of blood.
