      Feeling in dreams

I've been absent from these boards for over a month and and going to come back soon. I have vacationed from trying to LD for that amount of time to and and am going back soon and something happened last night before I went to sleep.

The night before I had a dream which involved the world ending because the world's oxygen was running out. I remember in the dream trying to get to this place where I would go into the future where I would be able to live as one of a few people left on earth. I remember getting to this place during the last seconds of oxygen being available and suffocating and unable to breathe. So last night, I got into bed and was thinking about my AP test that I had in school today.

I will first say off the bat that I was definately not sleeping. I wasn't attempting any LD methods nor was I not even that tired yet. I actually fell asleep about 30 minutes later because I kept thinking about stuff.

So at one point, I was thinking about my chances of passing this test and I heard a car horn honk outside. I'm not sure if the honk had anything to do with it, but right after the car honked I had in my head what it felt like to be suffocating because of no oxygen in the air like the dream the night before. I didn't actually FEEL it, but in my head I knew what it felt like like it had actually happened to me in life.

I know some people might think that I might have just jumped or got scared or surprised by the honk but I know the feeling when you get surprised or scared. and this definately was not that.

      It was very very weird.....
Wait!! .......Am I dreaming right now?

I don't know what to say about the dream, but chances are it was some of the things that usually happen during WILD, I sometimes have a stage where its a lot more 'intense' to breathe.

But anyway, Welcome back, hope you've been keeping a dream journal while your gone. I always remember you by your avatar.

You "knew it" instead of feeling it because all dreams work in that manner.
There are no senses in dreams; dreams are constructed and exist wholy as conceptual thought. Most simply interpret it as sensory information the kind of which they're used to during waking life but this time you realized (for whatever reason) the true nature of everything that dreams and hypnagogia consist of.
