Oh, and sorry it was www.skytopia.com. I got em mixed up.
I learned about it when I was reading www.howstuffworks.com. I was bored at work so I took a friends advice and started to learn about several interesting topics, such as the stock market or cd burners. One day the main screen was promoting the how sleep works page, so I decided to check it out. I read it and it merged into how dreams work and then there was a statement about how you couldn't control dreams, although believers of lucid dreamers think otherwise. That linked me here, where I learned all I needed to know. Then I decided to join the forum....the rest is history
i learned about it via my economics teacher. i did a search and now i'm here. :D
HA! HA! HA! Suckers! How little they know! :DQuote:

I read a passage in a book about dreaming that said stuff about lucidity and then had one that night.
That prompted me to look for lucid dreaming info. I eventually wound up here by some strange occurance, and latched onto the users and never left. :P
I learned about it by reading Carlos Castaneda's "The Art of Dreaming".
I knew about it but I picked the second one because one day I just thought "how could I get more control over my dreams" and did a search for it. Lucid dream I had doing WILDS though is a lot better than I thought it would be.
The art of dreaming! Now there was a funky book!!! I'm going to have to get it out and read it again now that I have a couple more years experience behind me!
Read about it in an interview with Brandon Boyd :goodjob2:
That is exactly how I found it... reading about how sleep works, not about being bord at work hehe! I was bored at home! :lol:Quote:

I found it by complete accident while searching for dream interpretation. But im glad I found it. :D
I was on the ign boards and I saw a link to a page where a guy actually wrote a bunch of stuff about lucid dreaming. I had never heard of it before, but I was hooked and searched it on yahoo, and eventually I found Dreamviews.
Interestingly enough I had read this interview long before I knew anything about LD's. It just said that his mother told him that when he was in a nightmare he could wake himself up and he did. That didn't impress me much, nor was it relevant to me because I rarely ever have nightmares, and I didn't know how deep it all went...Quote:

I also heard about lucidity from Vanilla Sky, but since he is not dreaming or such, I just though it was some made up crap about some sort of Matrix of personal design...
I had a project for my french class last year, and I could choose any topic to talk about, so I decided to talk about dreams.. I read some books and I was interested in the stuff they said about lucidity. later I found this website
i've had obe's since I was four, and throughout growing up. I also had quite a few lucid dreams as well. So I was always curious about studying them both and understanding what it was all about. growing I had really incredible nightmares, but I cured myself by reading about the topic of dreaming and controlling your dreams. for a fact, it works and opens up an amazing world.
this thread is the man
i think you made the options to long
anyway i was just interested in how my dreams worked one day and then i searched for it at howstuffworks.com and it had a link to this site.
i was bummed about only 'having' one dream per year, so i did a google search on dreaming and found lucidity.com. my bro saw what i was looking at and showed me dreamviews ^^
i remember my friend talking about astral projection,i was kind of skeptical about that so i did a google search and that brought up dreamviews.com
I was reading a book called "Building Mental Muscle"...And there was a section about sleep and dreams...IT had a little article on a scientist who studied his sleep and can control what he did.
I WAS LIKE NO NO NO...THAT'S CRAZY...THATS SO COOL..
and I googled that scientist and "dream control" and eventually fell upon DREAMVIEWS.COM
0 Lucid DREAMS SO FAR
I just had some, then after 2 years of getting more and more lds i decided to look if there where books about it. I then found Laberge first book.
Im kinda late, but thats how i saw this site too.Quote:
Sometimes Ill go to that site and just read about something im interested in, like DNA computers and time travel.
Holy crap!! that's where I found it too, never knew anyone else here did.Quote:
