      money

If there was a drug or a machine or something that could make you have lucid dreams that were extremely vivid, would give you completete controll over your dreams and would give your dreams anyother positive quality that you could think of how much would you pay for it?

If it were easy to get by, cheap and not damaging to my health, I'd use something like that. However, seeing as the only devices that have a very significant impact on becoming lucid (like the Nova Dreamer, not sure if there are any other devices like this) are hard to get by and (therefore) expensive, I'm not even considering it now

Also, I'd like to just learn to have nightly lucid dreams without depending on any external aid, which means I wouldn't be very prone to using something like lucid dreaming goggles even if they were easier to get a hold of.
Of course, though, I can't deny that if they were, and they were effective and cost less than €100, I'd just get some. So yeah, there's your answer, sorry it took so long. >.>

so you would only pay 100 *what ever that symbol means. Lets say that its not even an external device but just an ability given to you for a certain price. you can lucid dream whenever you want for how ever long you want, do what ever you want in you dream, change the setting and everything andyour dreams are as realistic as you want. i would probably pay quite a lot.

      *what does that symbol mean

Seeing how I spend half of my time in my dreams I would probably pay as much as it costs me to live my real life..

That seems like cheating to me. I can't wait 'till I get to the point where I can control my dreams by actually working at it myself. Like everything, practice makes perfect. Thankfully you get to practice dreaming every night

Yes that does seem like cheating, but then again who has never cheated ? Also what exactly is a "good amount of money"? I have to say I would to it.

Theoretically what you're asking for is possible through hypnosis. Ever see those hypnotists that can get a group of people to do weird stuff l: bark like a dog, walk like a duck.... etc? Well, if I were to ever meet someone who has that ability I would definitely ask if I could be "programmed" to recognize when I'm dreaming.

As for cost.... heck, to me that ability right now seems priceless.

Cheating? I disagree. Lucid dreaming isn't a competition - it's a self-enlightenment thing. It's one of those things where it's not so much the journey, but the destination that's the main point. Besides, some people who get a late start in life in discovering lucid dreaming have less of a choice. So, in a sense, they are getting "cheated" out of time AND physical ability (chemical changes in body which reduce lucid dreaming capability).

Well, if you put it that way, I'd pay more for it, but still wouldn't pay too much since I can learn to do this for free.
Now of course it's not certain that I can learn to have long, vivid lucid dreams with perfect dream control every night, but I'd say it's much more likely than achieving this with a buyable something. (b^.^)b

Since I live close to Joe, I would wait for him to buy one and lute the house. Then the only price to pay would be guilt.
But I would sell it back to you at 1/2 the cost!

But seriously, you make some good points T Joe!

Sounds like the Sci-Fi/Action film with Arnold Schwarzanger "Re-Call". A machine that puts you into a scenario you choose.

I don't like the idea of McLucidDreams. Where's the satisfaction or sense of achievement with instantly getting what you want all the time? And anyway, what's a destination without a journey? To me, any device that could give me the kind of LDs you're talking about would be like cheating myself. I wouldn't pay anything for it.

If you could wear a special black gown that enabled you to do all the best kung fu moves, would you put it on and step in the ring with a real kung fu master? Maybe you would, but you'd get your arse kicked because you wouldn't have the strength, determination, resilience, grace, stamina or endurance of a real kung fu master. You'd be like a fish out of water. Your moves might look good but they would be devoid of substance and significance. They would be empty.

To me, lucid dreaming isn't a destination, it's a journey. Becoming lucid doesn't mean you've arrived anywhere, it's just the start of another journey.

However you can get lucid is fair. There is no fair or unfair anyway in Lucid Dreaming. I would suggest trying to learn it on your own though, because paying a bazillion dollars for some device that may or may not work seems a little silly. But if it works, it works.

Well since he has a guitar I guess I would choose an entirely different instrument.
