Point of view in dreams
When you dream do you see your self from multiple perspectives? I can never really tell when I'm haveing the dream but thinking back to it i can normaly see me from many perspectives. If I can't see myself from more then one view then perspective changes many times through the dream. In dreams when I have trouble controlling myself, as in I am atempteing to walk forword but for some reason I move to the left, I can only see through a first person view and I am stuck looking to the side with my head tilted. I just wanted to know if things were like this for anyone else, or if different persectives mean anything. I used the search to see if this has been asked before but it came up with tons of irrelevant stuff so I figured it has'nt.

I’m not sure if this helps, but when I dream I usually see my self from two different POV’s.
One is first person and the second is third, where I am seeing my self from the eyes of someone else. Most od the time in the dream I see my self from/in both POV. IE I will be seeing in third person POV, but I will still be thinking and seeing (it shifts) as if I was the person I was looking at. Some times it gets very confusing as to what dreaming character I am, but since I am dreaming of course it seems natural in the dream.

I can't say I ever experience dreams from more then one point of view at the same time but yes, I have dreams in both first person and third person viewpoint of myself. The latter being quite a curious experience that always gets me thinking a bit on it upon recalling such a dream; an interesting feeling to experience yourself from 3rd person.

Usually my dreams feel as though they're from the same visual perspective as I have in real life, I seldom see my face unless it's in a dream mirror.
Not that long ago I had an LD where I saw someone I knew in my dream that I was very surprised to see there, I rarely dream of people I know. What was coolio is that I realized that as it was my dream, everyone in it was simply a manifestation of myself, and when I saw Nedreonnea peeking out at me I saw myself in her.
It was very useful in dealing not only with her the next day, but in relating to other people I work with regularly, keeping in mind that they all share a common bond with me, it made them all easier to deal with.
Whatever.

i never see my own body during dreams, and the wihole dream is like movie camera angles

The points of view in my dreams change constantly.
I like to think I would make a fine director, because the dreams are always greatly enriched by this occurence.
Actions scenes are always so cool in my mind, because I always get the perfect angle for viewing the imaginary violence.
Too bad I never notice that I am in a different porthole whilst I am dreaming...

when I was little I would switch to third person point of view a lot, these days thats rare. I am almost ALWAYS first person point of view. the only time I am not is when im not even in the dream! just an observer, and thats very rare.
even if I transform in a dream I still see it in first person point of view - like I look at my hands and there are claws or Iook at my clawed feet

My point of view changes quite a bit in my dreams, though it tends to stay mostly in 3rd person (or "camera view" as I tend to call it since my focus tends to move around like a camera). When I become lucid, I immediatley go into 1st person, though, and everything goes black until I can somewhat stabalize the dream. I think, though, that I tend to go back to 3rd person when I'm losing lucidity.
I think, too, that I also have a 2nd person point of view, like I'm just watching the action unfold but I'm not really a part of it. It often changes to 3rd person. For example, I'll be playing a game and watch the characters, but then it will be like I'm watching the characters in a real-world-ish situation, but still retain my own thoughts about what's going on.
My dreams constantly change, though: the characters, the point of view, the scenery/location, the action/plot. Some more than others.

I frequently have third person dreams in which I never even make an appearance. I experience it just like watching a movie. I don't even see myself in the dreams or have any sense of reflecting upon or having awareness of the events. So I guess I see it more like a movie that I'm not actually watching.
-
I've never had a dream that wasn't in first person. I think that's one reason it's hard or me to realize that I'm dreaming when I am because I see things like it's real life.

My perspective changes constantly. Like watching a movie with a free moving camera. My visions can move ina nd out of myself to accomodate what happens. Sometimes it feels like Im both in firts and third person at the same time.
