The different ways that I have screwed up my lucid dreams.

Time with Dream Views: Four weeks
Number of lucid dreams attempted since joining: Four.
Number of lucid dreams experienced since joining: Four.
Number of lucid dreams ruined for stupid, stupid reasons since joining: Three.

HORRIBLE FAILURE #1: The first one was nice and clear. I fell right into the dream, and found myself in a wooden room. Everything in the room was wooden. I thought it looked nice, but I didn't like it inside. I wanted to go outside, so I walked through the various rooms, looking for the door. I found it down a hallway. Outside was forestland. The forest reminded me of home, and I instantly became homesick. I got sad, and bailed out...

HORRIBLE FAILURE #2: Again, I fell right into this dream. Everything was nice and clear. This was one of those powerful dreams that you don't get everyday.
I was standing on a hill. I looked around, and I could see for miles. I was impressed with my dreamscape, and stood, admiring it for several minutes.
On one side of this hill was a very large cliff. At the bottom of the cliff, I saw a small twinkle.
I figured that my dream was trying to show me something, so I turned around, and dove backward off the cliff, letting myself fall until I was nearing the bottom, where I took control, and glided down softly. I usually have fun with my flying.
The twinkle was a doorway. It occurred to me somehow that on the other side of the doorway was waking consciousness... the real world. I thought, 'Wow, if I go through this door, and enter actual consciousness, while in a dream, I will be able to move things with my mind when I am awake AS WELL as when I am asleep.
I stepped through the door to waking consciousness, and well... woke up. :roll:

HORRIBLE FAILURE #3: Happened yesterday morning.
This one started out blurry. I was dissappointed, but decided to try to make the best out of this dream. I started working on making things clear, and I was losing the battle. I knew that I was looking at a rug, but it was terribly blurry. I tried commanding everything to become clear, but it didn't work at all. I became frustrated.
Suddenly, I heard my girlfriend yell out, 'Brent!'
To which I responded, 'What?'
'Are you ready to open up the dog?'
'No. I'm trying to lucid dream right now. Leave me alone.'
I became so angry about being interrupted that I woke up, to find my girlfriend comfortably asleep beside me.

...Open up the dog!? WTF!?
...and what made me think that I was acutally shouting across the house while in a dream?

I'll keep this post updated with all of my latest FAILURES.

Those are pretty funny. Seriosly, though, I don't think there's something to complain about. I still haven't really gotten control at all (well, I fllew once, but that was before i knew what LDing was, and I forgot about it being a dream after like 10 seconds. I've only had 8 LDs, and I don't have recall of 4. I think instead of being pissed at failing, bbe happy your LDing. :D Look on the bright side.

failing looks almost as fun as succeeding. LOL. Can't wait to have some ridiculous LDs (or any good ones at all (with control)).

ooh. I'm not really pissed about it. I am taking it with humor. Over time, I have become comfortable in knowing that I can do it again, any time that I have time to.

At the same time, I get used to them. Before I found this site, I took them for granted. At this point, it's like when you drop your pencil, and it's really no big deal, but you're really annoyed by it.

Anyway. I still think it's more funny than anything. I've just had a bad streak lately.

That last one really made me laugh. Rofl....Open up the dog. I can't wait until I fail some of mine. It will be a really good learning experience.

I had a kind of random one too last night. I won't share the whole dream, but I will share the part where I got lucid (to see the comple version read my DJ)

I am walking with a couple friends at the bottom of some mountain. Suddenly I get ultra-pissed, and take this jar I am carying against the ground. The top flies off, and this little baby pops out of the jar (wtf). I think oh shit, I think I just killed the baby. I then go over to the jar, and take the top and bottom. Inside that is a little grenade like container (not a grenade, just same size/shape/general design). I twist it open, hoping it really isn't a grenade, adn desperately wishing that the baby is in there, but he isn't. Then, out of no where, I realize "I'm dreaming. Time to go have some fun, but first I need to put the baby in its jar." I look down, saying that when I look up a bit, the baby will be in front of me, but when I look up it isn't. I try again, but it fails. I then wake up.

2 questions arise from this. 1.wtf is the baby doing in the jar in the first place? 2. why the heck didn't i try to stabilize the dream?

Just so you understand, I love little children, and would NEVER stuff one in a jar or do anything else cruel and torturous to a baby, but in the dream this seemed totally normal. It might make more sense if you read my journal entry (which I haven't put in yet, give me 20 minutes). Anyways, just felt like sharing this dream, as it felt on topic.

I don't think that's possible. We are able to split topics, but there's no mod option (that I can see) to merge them. Sorry.

I shall RECREATE my post, and forget that this one eeever existed. :)
