How do you know a dream guide is actually a dream guide and not just someone you made up to say they were?
because a dream guide, quiet honestly...will act like a normal human being..it sometimes wont even do what you tell it to do...and in pretty much every case..ur dream guide knows more about you then you know about urself...i found my dream guide Anna 2 LD's ago...we were sitting at a table..and i asked her-cus she had appeared in a few LD's before--if she was my dream guide...she said yes....She told me she tried contacting my last fall but i never noticed....quite interesting they are...and every single person has dream guides and spirit guides...do a google search and read more about it...
thanks

As far as I'm concerned, all a dream guide is is a character made up by your mind to say they are,(yes i lack spiritual beliefs) but it dosen't make them any less useful, as they can be your link to the subconscious parts of yourself that you don't really know otherwise.
completely agree with bushman
I have this same point of view, even though I have yet to meet my dream guide. I have asked a friend of mine that was in my dream if she could see my subconscious once, but she said it was very complicated. heh.Quote:

How should I do if I want to meet a dream guide? I've been a little skeptical of just asking characters in a dream. Is it possible that a character with bad intentions may deceive me into believing they are my dream guide?
I don't know if she's my DreamGuide but an old lady always gives me tips in life. Like, I'll be fooling around with the benefits of lucidity and then my dream will take on a more serious tone as I talk to this old lady. She's told me things like to keep going to school and to get it over with.
It's really weird because it feels like your talking to a real person and not just a character you created with your mind.
My dream guide is an Egyptain demi-god named Shetmu. My dreams about him began when he drugged and raped me, then completely destroyed my lucid dreaming abilities. I was lucid but with no control. I kind of.. accepted what I had to.. and he became docile and helpful.
A teacher.
A rapist, but a teacher.
Now he's in my dreams a few times a week, and he's easily summoned when I need advice.
