Thread: Black and White or Color?

I occasinally get HI in black and white, but I cannot recall a dream I've had that was in black and white. My dreams are 90% of the time for first-person point of view. However, when I was HI, I'd say about half the time it's like a movie, beacause I'm an observer, not even part of the scene.

I remember dreams where I had seen everything in black & white. I also remember dreams where I was a video game type character.

I have a lot of dreams where I'm a videogame character and I see everything from a videogame point of view (like a strategic game for example, where I see everything from the top, including myself).

Yes, I play a lot of videogames

All the dreams that I can remember have been in color, and they've always been in the first person, like real life.

I can't remember ever having a dream in black and white. Always color.

And I'm usually in first-person view. I've read a lot of posts about people dreaming in third person like in a video-game, but if I ever dream in third person, I'm not myself - I'm someone else in someone's elses body - if that makes any sense.

Mostly, my dreams are in color, but I have had a few black and white dreams.

Also, my dreams tend to be evenly spread between being third-person view, like in a movie, and first person. Sometimes they switch during the dream, too.

Think of this.
The only way that we see color is because of light. When we close our eyes and it is dark in the room, there is no light making color visible. When you dream, what makes you dream in color? Memory does, it works and doesn't work as consistently as light though

Thats why some dreams are all funked up....and i've had wierd ass dreams where people were cartoon caracters, black and white, or even had skin like string cheese....but they tasted good maybe...

I've read in some of my books that black and white are the most common colours to dream about
followed by the colour blue
and then green
etc. etc.
but for me, I notice I dream more about certain colours
just like we all have different dream symbols
I dream a lot about yellow and pink
it is just one of those things that varies from person to person
and because our dreams are most often composed of things we've seen (it can't conjure things out of nowhere) people who are colour blind and have never seen colour do not dream in colour
other than that, I'm pretty sure everyone has at least experienced some dreams in colour

My dreams are in hyper color. Usually brighter and more colorfull than is possible in real life. Of course thats not every dream. Every dream has a different mood and a different tone to it. As far as visuals , and all feelings for that matter, they are limited only by your experinces and imagination.

Color varies for me.

Some dreams are greyish. Other dreams have intense color. The second induced LD I had, I was spellbound by the yellow paint on a wall.

Some dreams are set in twilight time so very little color.

I have never dreamed in the third person before. That whole concept seems so weird to me.. And I always dream In colour. Sometimes it is more vibrant, and sometimes it is dull. But it's colour nonetheless.

Mine are always color. Sometimes they get kind of a ruddy brown theme to them, with most color bled out, but I've never dreamt in black and white. Like Gameover, most of my dreams are hyper-vivid color, too.

And I typically dream first-person, but I've had lots of third-person (video games, mostly), and a few that I was a narrator of sorts. Those are cool, especially when I'm lucid in them, because it's like writing a story with it acted out in front of you simultaneously...
