      Cant stay motivated..

I've been less motivated then I've ever been I've stoped the LD scene for about 2 months now +. I was doing really good in fact I was at the point where I was having a LD a week. I need some serious suggestions to keep my "dream moral" up and stay that way. Any ideas? (Yes I've had a few posts like this before, So sue me.. No seriously I dare you to sue me -.-)

      Well wb first of all.

Ok motivation for me was always to try something new in your dreams every night. If you have not flown yet in your dreams you HAVE to try it out. I think the feeling you get is enough motiviation in itself to keep you coming back to lding every night. Walk through a mirror and see where you end up! Explore the depths of the oceans or outer space. Let your imagination run wild.

Second, SHARE your dreams. You will be a lot more involved if you visit the forums and keep sharing your experiences. Plus everyone here will cheer you up is something doesn't work out.

Just try it and dont give up.
I've had a 1-2 week long dry spells, but It's nothing compared to what you get.
I'm seeing great progress and suggestions from this forum really work...

You never get anything for free... So LD"s worth some effort...

Well, maybee its a postive thing.
You might just be very lucky, do you have just about everything a reasonable man could wish for? Perhaps you dont need LD's, are you content with most things in your life???

But hey there are still plenty of reasons to LD even if you are completely happy... Like flying! Visiting alien planets, having awesome fantasy-adventures, etc!!!!

Or you could just be like CT...and take advantage of Mario's girlfriend, the peach princess.

I know how you feel... my dream recall has really gone down the shitter as of late. It's been so long since my last LD, and when I wake up I can only remember bits and pieces of one or two dreams. And I'm going to bed really early now, too. I can feel my moral slowly draining out. Oh well now that I saw this thread I know that I'm not alone.

lucid dreaming just for the sake of lucid dreaming cool ass stuff and wicked experiences gets boring after awhile. well then again, maybe not... hell I never get tired of it. i guess those experiences are so etherial and fantastic and cannot be duplicated by anything in the real world, they open up an entirely new life to experience...

what i would suggest is ask yourself what is your purpose for doing lucid dreams? If having a purpose motivates you to continue trying to be lucid, then I definitely suggest trying that... For instance, why study hard and get good grades? All that effort someday will hopefully pay off with phat lewt and the good life (or simply a life free of mcdonalds grease smells).

Same goes for the efforts of learning and perfecting the art of dreaming. you have the potential of exploring entirely new worlds, endless worlds, a universe without limits... or just simply having a menage et trois with the twins of your dreams...

Woot!! I just had a great lucid dream this morning, and it was very high level awareness! To keep it short, I figured out how to jump very high (whereas before I could only jump about 20 feet), I changed some shrimp into a sandwhich just by using my mind, and recognized dream characters as that they were not real. I was walking around, when I remembered reality checks, and I decided to do one, so I looked at my hands, and they were very strange, kind of short and wide with a bright green tinge. Also, it was quite long and very vivid. As with my other lucid, when I went lucid it was so real it was hard for me to realize that I actually was dreaming. I feel happy again!

Thanks to everyone that gave me encouragement!

I know how you feel if you lost motivation. Just stop trying so hard. Perhaps make it all right whether you get lucid or not.

Without a doubt, LD's are one of the most satisfying experiences there is, because you basically become the God of your own inner world. The external world never goes the way we want it to...but talking about it is nothing compared to the real thing!
