i've been meaning to post an update on here for a while, i've just never gotten to it.
First off i havn't really given Lucid Dreaming a genuine shot since i found out about this board several months ago, i'm a little lazy. I tryed to keep a dream journal, but i would just get lazy and not do it sometimes, plus i had to get ready for school and/or work. I've kept a deam journal on some of my dreams, and when i don't i try to remember them to the best of my ability after i get out of bed. I have noticed some dream signs. Now that school is over, i think my goal will be to at least know how I can lucid dream over summer, what works and doesn't work for me. For about a week or so i did reality testing, looking at clocks and stuff. eventually i just stopped doing that. So, where do you guys and gals think i should go from here?

I would definitely say to work really hard at the dream journal. It will probably be easier now that you're out of school; it is for me, anyway, as I can usually wake up naturally and I'm not rushed to journal my dreams. It takes some time, but after a while journaling really does increase your recall greatly. You might also want to find one or two good RCs that work for you and do them ALWAYS at specific times during the day; ie, whenever you walk into your bedroom or something. I think consistency is key, and once you get used to a routine of doing this stuff, things will start to fall into place naturally.
Also, did you try any induction techniques? VILD is a personal favorite of mine (check it out in the tutorials.)
Good luck and keep at it; it takes time, but it's so worth it.

Theresa has given some really good advise here, all i will add, more of a footnote, is that lucid dreaming comes naturally to some, so they need apply no additional effort, however, for most it only comes with lots of effort and persistance, at least in the start, after you reach the point when you open the flood gates, so to speak, you'll find no problem having them, but to start with, you almost have to obsess a little over it, as thats the only way you'll motivate you're mind into actually realising it is asleep
