Anyone here prefer non-lucid dreams?
Nowadays I prefer regular non-lucid dreams. I find those more interesting since they are more exciting.
If being attacked by some creature in a lucid dream, for example, I can feel confident as I know it is a dream and I can't be killed. In a non-lucid, however, I have to conquer fear and defeat the enemy.
It also makes me feel better about myself when overcoming fear in a dream, when thinking that it is real.
And another good thing is that things feel more random in non-lucids, making it more overall interesting. If I have a lucid dream, I always chose to do the same thing: find hot chick to have sex with, causing me to wake up shortly after.

I was very ready to agree with you until you assumed that the Ordinary Dreaming Persona must be completely ignorant, untrained and inexperienced.
After all, what experience Dream Persona doesn already know that it cannot be killed in a dream. Well, every dreamer older then 24 SHOULD have reached that stage of Life Development where they have had the Dream of getting up from the Dead. This has nothing to do with Lucidity but is simply a Level of maturity reached in ordinary Dreaming.
But, yes, as to the General Question, before it got mucked up with absolute nonsense, there is much to be said for Ordinary Dreaming, that is in allowing the Dream Persona its uninterrupted Experience of a Dream from start to finish. For as useful as Lucidity can be in the Integration of the Waking Self to the Dream Persona, it is undeniable that in each Lucid Dream there is necessarily some break in the Continuity of the Dream. Where Dream are thought to have any value at all, then these breaks in continuity are to be lamented.
And then sometime Lucidity works alongside Ordinary Dreaming. For instance, there are those times when with the onset of a Spontaneous Lucidity, the Dreamer will use a Mantra, or Spinning, or Levitation and Flying to Lift the Level of the Dream to a Higher Sphere or Finer Strata of Vibration, and then, once there, to in effect hand the Dream back to the Dream Persona who will finish up the Dream.
After all, the Dream Persona is the Entity most fit for Dreaming in most cases. Several times while Lucid I had accidentally or inadvertantly accessed the Memory of my Dream Persona. My God! The Dream Persona is Dreaming ALL THE TIME, and not just when we are there to apply our small powers of Dream Recall. Once you let yourself into the Dream Personas Memory, one is amazed at the huge amounts of detail about all sorts of activities. It must be that the Dream Persona (paradoxically enough) never sleeps.
Anyway, what Lucidity does is that it brings the Waking Perspective to the Dream Persona. It is similar to a Revelation of a Religious Experience for the Dream Persona. This Being from a Civilized and Moral World has come to it and shown it The Way. Wow! but after this Revelation, once the Dream Persona has been Moralized and Civilized, then it no longer needs to be dogged and hounded forever by a Waking Self out to interrupt every Dream Scene and Unfolding Story.
