My regular dreams are amazing now

Back before my knowledge about Lucid Dreaming, my normal dreams were pretty bland. I couldn't remember them all too well, and when I did remember them they were still pretty cloudy.

Now that I have had several LDs, my normal dreams are so much more intense. Even when I don't reach lucidity, my normal dreams have crystal clear clarity now, and I can actually read!

I remember yesterday's dream where I was at my computer. I was running through my albums, and I actually read the words. I remember reading the song names and goin through them before I picked the one I wanted to listen to.

Anyone have similar stories?

Yes... I've been thinking that the purpose of Lucid Dreaming is to help integrate the Waking Self with the Dreaming Persona... that for the Dreaming Persona it is something of a Religious Experience -- this Influence from a Conscious World that may not have been entirely grasped by the Dreaming Persona up to that time.

But with "Mindless's" Post here it seems that the 'Religious Experience' that Lucidity brings to the Dreaming Persona may also come with a lasting Kick. There may be a lasting Energy Breakthrough that accompanies Lucidity that continue afterward.

Also, sometimes I think that Lucidity is confined behind a very limited definition. But the same new Intensity of Consciousness Energy that brings us Lucidity may also give us Vivid Dreams or Visionary Dreams.

Lucidity ONLY refers to the Waking Self stepping into the Dream Scene to disrupt the Continuity and take Charge away from the Dream Persona. But remember, the purpose of Lucidity is to Integrate Waking Consciousness with the Dreaming Persona. So after the Dreaming Persona has had this 'Satori Experience' a few times, what more does it need. At a certain point when the Dreaming Persona is so well integrated that you no longer think there is much of a difference between your Waking Self and your Dreaming Self, then at that point Lucidity becomes just a bump in the road... a disruption. If the Dream Persona is doing fine, and does the same things you would do, then why take the reins away. If your Dream Self is doing okay, then leave him alone.

Especially if the Dreaming Persona is working with same strong Energy Levels as are encountered with Lucidity.

Absolutely, |v|indless. I was just about to start a similar topic, that my dreams have become so condensed and believable.

For example, I had a dream last night that my family was standing outside a grocery store. I went inside and inside was a restaurant, one where I used to work. The layout was different, but my boss was still there. I wanted four drinks, and after some discussion with the manager, I did not pay during the ordeal. After I got two, I went over to the counter, and got a drink carrier. I got another, and the fourth one took awhile. Some silly person put his medium drink in the last available spot in my carrier, which I simply moved to the counter when I got the fourth one and left.

The interesting part was that I was so absorbed into the dream. Everything, even each soda, felt like it was alive and emitting it's own energy. Also, after leaving the store, I was talking with my brother who was amazed I did not spend $15 on food. I told him no, I spent only $3, even though I don't remember having to pay. The conversations I have actually make sense in dreams too, and I too can read without problems.

Here's the question I want to pose: Is there some relationship between intensity of the non-lucid dream and length of it? Two theories come to mind. First, our dream person is like a battery, we only have limited power supply, and the more intense the dream, the quicker it's eaten. Second, we are like a VCR tape that only has so much memory. If we "record" a high definition dream, it uses a lot more of the available space than does a regular broadcast of the same length. Maybe some combination of the two, or there could be even more to consider.

Hi Distant Clone, that sounds like a most amazing dream, plus I know exactly how involving those dreams are.

I haven't figured out how much memory is available once the dream happens.
