What I mean is, How many LD's did it take you before you could move on your own free will, do things, etc, etc. I just had my 5th LD tonight (DILD, I had two LD's tonight) Yet I had hardly any control, Icould hardly move if I wanted to, and my LD's normally end pretty quickly.
I had one week where I had about 4 or 5 dreams where I would realize that I was dreaming, but I would have no control of my body. I would watch things happen to me and eventually lose lucidity.
At the end of the week I realized I was dreaming but it was kind of different. I was lying down on a street near my house and I couldn't move my body, but nothing was happening in the dream. I was looking at the stars and I could move my head with effort. I then struggled to look at my hands. As soon as I looked at my hands I was instantly able to move my hands effortlessly. I then sat up and went into my first full blown lucid dream and it was incredible. So you're very very close just keep on trying and any day it will happen.
It was in my third Lucid dream, when I was 6. I figured it all out, and could do almost anything within the limits of my imagination and willpower.
The trouble was inducing a lucid dream after that...
in my first LD sins i new what LDing whas I allready had controle...
I can't imagine that you won't have controle whike you know that your dreaming...ain't that scary... like being locked or something?

Yeah, the first time I had an LD and knew what it was, I had control. I just remembered that if you THINK you can do it, you can. Of course, I didn't have complete control, but I was able to move and all that. My problem lies in not realizing that I am dreaming! But just keep trying, as I'm sure you will. I find that it gets better every time.
Before I had a real lucid dream, I had had a few small experiences, where I had become lucid, but always ended up waking up. When I had a real lucid dream, I had known what to do to stay in the dream.
It took me quite a while before I learned control and even now after 15 years I do not have absolute control.
Belief in yourself is essential to control. I know it is easy to say to yourself "This is my LD and I control it", but, and this is a big BUT...
Really believing it can be difficult. The older you are, the more difficult it seems, probably because you have had more years for "reality" to become ingrained in your subconcious.
However, the good news is, the more control you learn, the easier it becomes.
The best analogy in my mind always goes back to the Matrix. Remember in the first one how difficult is was for Neo to overcome his doubts? Lucid dreaming is a fundamental shift in the way you view the universe and conciousness, it takes a little time.
Thanks. I'll try that before I go to bed. Anyways, to explain what's wrong, I can think and other stuff, but cannot move any part of my body. I think if I can get them to last longer, I'll be able to move.Quote:

I've had a certain level of control in my few lucids. The first time i looked around... i tried to look at my hand (unsuccessfully)...and i also successfully spun.
In my second lucid..it was very hazy and i had little control.. however i was able to yell "increase lucidity!" so i had some control.
