I've read many posts where someone goes lucid during a dream because they just happen to say to themselves: "this can't be real". Every dream I have, can't be real, why doesn't my subconcious ask itself if it's real or not? I do reality checks and review them before sleeping, I know my bigger dream signs, and have a desire to become lucid. I haven't found a workign technique so I can't even invoke a dreamstate to test much.
      I sleep to dream.

I have pretty much a similar problem. Although I'm new to this forum, I've been fiddling with LD's for a while. I do Reality checks ever 10- 15 minutes. When you do reality checks (as someone may have said already, can't remember ) make sure you really think about whether you could at all be dreaming (Don't let it become reflex). Sometimes, throughout the day, I picture myself back in my dreams that I recorded, and try to compare it to reality. Try to gain recognition of that "Dream feeling",(if you know what I mean) by plopping yourself back in and remebering the feeling throughout the day. Dream signs don't help me too much though.

Also, If you're willing to really give something weird a shot, Try doing something that you will remeber in your sleep, such as putting something somewhere where it bothers you. I know it sounds silly but things like this, are things that may clue you in in a dream.

If not, then just stick to RC's and really conciously wondering if you're dreaming, visualising your dreams + recognizing the feeling difference between wake + sleep . (I'm struggling alot myself with this too)

I wouldn't regard this as a problem, it's just that you're not one of the lucky people who have that kind of subconscious. The rest of us just have to work on it.

If you're not realising that you're dreaming, maybe you should try other techniques, like WILD, if you think you can, or that one where you wake up in the early morning and wiggle your fingers, and go back into a dream... I can't remember where that topic was...

Also, RC RC RC all the time!

That might work. If something is bothering me before I sleep, I tend to think about it upon waking and sometimes dreaming about it.

I've tried other techniques, I can't seem to get past vibrations and HI. But recently I've been a bit busy so I can't always get in an effort.

It is impossible to live in the past, difficult to live in the present and a waste to live in the future.
