Unfortunately, I have recently become interested in the field of psychology.
This summer was getting boring and I needed some good, juicy reading/learning material and thought the human mind would be a good subject to sink my teeth into and slobber all over.
Anybody know any good books that one would expect to find in a library? I can't buy any my budget consists of single's and lint.
If this is posted in the wrong place please don't shoot me.

I'm currently reading Dreaming: An Introduction to the Science of Sleep by J. Allan Hobson. I'm not that far into it (on page 22) but it's a good book so far. I'm also interested in psychology and in the physiology of sleep and dreaming, so I picked up this book. Here's what the back cover says:
"Replacing dream mystique with modern dream science, J. Allan Hobson provides a new and increasingly complete picture of how dreaming is created by the brain. Focusing on dreaming to explain the mechanisms of sleep, this book explores how the new science of dreaming is affecting theories in psychoanalysis, and how it is helping our understanding of the causes of mental illness...." It goes on with more but I'm not typing it all out. :P

Creative Dreaming by Patricia Garfield
The Amazing Brain and/or The Right Mind Robert Ornstein
Psychology is a large field and tends to fall into a number of camps:
neurology and brain chemistry enthusiasts
behaviouralism
cognitive therapy
psychoanalysis (and many subcamps)
transpersonalism
Why not just go to your library, go to the psychology section and look at the books there, see what interests you?
