      first post (yeah&#33

Last night i had the most epic dream i could remember, i mean there were so many DC and it was very vivid and realistic. What was really strange about this dream is that it was long. i mean it felt like it lasted a couple of days long. unfortunatly, just as i was in the middle of the climax of the dream( i had to find and destroy a virus in the nexus of the universe) i woke up. After 30 minutes of trying to re-enter the dream, i gave up. now im hoping i could continue with it later tonight if im lucky.
Has anyone here also had a dream of epic proportions.

Was this a lucid dream or a normal dream?

Sounds really good, I haven't had many vivid dreams I can remember unfortunately.
      Lord of the Rings quotes:

"Behold, I am not Gandalf the Grey, whom you betrayed. I am Gandalf the White, who has returned from death. You have no colour now, and I cast you from the order and from the Council." - Gandalf to Saruman, The Two Towers

"Men of Gondor and Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails... when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship... but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when all hope comes crashing down, but it is NOT this day! This day, we fight! For all that you hold dear, stand, Men of the West! - Aragorn

"Far off yet is his doom, and not by the hand of man will he fall." - Glorfindel

"in Rivendell there live still some of his chief foes: the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power." - Gandalf

Hells yeah. I play them out in my head, or better yet: get the gist of what I want to do, and let my mind do the rest. My usual RPDs are really epic, some consisting of battles, quests, etc. where I am the same person with a party, and I even have guests that I don't know join in the journey in a few dreams. Those dreams are the best.
Some are lucid, some are not, but the lucid ones I make even more epic.

That sounds like a cool dream. When you say it lasted 2 days, did it feel as though you lived every minute of every hour of those two days, was it just 'I knew that it lasted two days' or do you only remember bits and pieces of the dream?

Yeah, that's an awesome dream, and the one that got me started reading your DJ, possibly the best one here (5 stars from me).
I think half of DV want to read the sequel!
We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true. - Woodrow Wilson

      Hahaha. Thanks, man.
I've had a bit of a slump lately, but I've been trying to get a little more comfortable with the lucid state, so, whenever I feel I'm up to it, I'm going to be calling that old bastard out for round 2. Haha.

All in due time, though. I'll keep ya posted!

I have these all the time, but they don't make sense...in a way. It's sorta like random gibberish but in the dream, it felt coherent. When I wake up, I have bad recall because while awake I view it as random stuff.

      Hard to explain. -__-

I've had dreams that seem like they take forever.

There was one, actually a few, where I reach a point, and I cannot go any further, as if I had accomplished everything there was to accomplish in that dream. Everything - the sounds, scenes, just die off. It's like the world becomes a ghost town, it's usually me and a friend just standing in an area, and nothing is going on, I mean literally everything stops! Good lucid trigger there, everytime that's happened, I realized it was a dream. In one I remember, I was forced falling into a river, and then went over a waterfall as if being dumped out of my dream (as if I wasn't meant to be dreaming anymore at that point), and another I was able to remain lucid for a few more minutes before my brain decided enough was enough.

Those types of dreams are the best! I assume by epic you mean the dreams that seem to last for hours or even days and have one coherent storyline and everything fits together at the end.

I had a few of those and I still remember them.
