I made a quickie-little poll to see if people who live more "realistic" lives have an easier time attaining lucidity than people who watch TV all day and read fantasy novels ect. The full idea is explained in the survey.
Please only take the poll once, and only if you have had a lucid dream...
survey says...
I will post results when i get about 50 people (that is the amount I am limited to by this free service)
No personal information is asked, or taken.

all right i took it question 4 was a pian i rated thing on a scale of one to ten of how i enjoyed them and used like ten twice and stuff but you have to rank them from most to least

I saw World of Warcraft on the list of games... That's the only game I ever do happen to play, and it seems more so than just a game. It would be difficult to explain, but you would understand if you played it enough. Anyways, this poll is a good idea, I look forward to how the overall results turn out.
[editted for word mix-up]

Allright I did the test too.
I can see where you are going: I'm pretty much a ''Dreamy'' person in Waking Life. Perhaps you're suggesting that living more ''Sober'' and less Dreamy would keep the Analythical part of your brains(Reasoning, Being Critical, rational Thinking) more active so one would take that same Analythical state of mind into one's dreams and thus have a greater chance to attain lucidity?

Thats exactly what I was thinking, SKA. Nice description.

This survy has alot of missing options such as DILD and game catagories. also I have had one lucid last november but haven't had one since thier really wasn't an option for that. I can't seem to get #4 to work so I can't submit.
-
Well, since I can edit the poll, why dont you guys start submitting more options? Then we can try a new "refined" survey.
#4 works, you just have to make sure there are no duplicate numbers. I did it, doesnt take much effort. I'll see about changing that question to a more easily answerable one in the next survey.

I'm a rather Spiritual person and a DayDreamer... But perhaps systematically doing Tests such as your RC-Programm would keep my Analythical Mind Trained and maintained better?
The idea behind that program ( http://rapidshare.de/files/27874466/RCheck_v1.zip.html ) is very good: To keep your Rational Thinking active and Sharp.
Perhaps I could make such tests myself. I'm a Drawer and I draw more than I breathe. So I'm going to Draw Scenes and Characters: Some Scenes and Characters Impossible, Bizarre or Unlikely as seen in Dreams...and some as seen in Reality. And then Questions under the Drawings: Real? or Dream?
I could Scan and post those drawings here if people would like?

I live the as it was put "dreamy" life and my sister very normal. I have very odd and strange dreams. I read my sisters dream jurnal today and she has very dull dreams, in one all she did was watch tv.

You wanted more options: the "games" section lacks "multiple" and/or "whatever is good" option.
The LD induction thingie is not clear - those % bullets do they represent how often you succeed in each of these techniques or how many of your dreams come from each technique?
The books section - you have to rate all items, and one of them is "I dont read"... It's confusing, cause if you dont read you wont rate these things and if you do read you wont include "I dont read" option, but the poll asks you to rate all items.
-
agh. I have 27 responces to the survey, I can see the total results of the survey, but it wont let me view each individual's results unless I pay. (I have no way to pay) so I have no way to compare people who are more "dreamy" to people who are more "realistic" in their everyday lives....
I'll see if I can find another free service or something... in the meantime, dont bother with the poll, sorry guys. :(

I didn't see RPG like Final Fantasy VII so didn't know where it would go. I also don't read books outside of the occasional fantasy, and books on hypnosis, or some self help materials.
