Strange Fears

Last night I had a dream where I was driving. I turned a corner to merg onto the highway and was shocked by the appearence of many buildings that had overwhelming flags on them. It was intimidating to me for some reason.
This reminded me of an experience I had as a child of about ten years of age. I was driving a three wheeler on an old bush trail that I was familiar with from previous years when suddenly I rounded a corner to be starttled by the scene loggers had created. Many trees had been cleared and gathered into enormous piles. I've also felt this fear in a past dream when I unexpectly came upon a large lake. Is there a reason for such a fear and has anyone else ever felt it?

Could it be somthing as simple as you are afraid of change?
It would be nice to use lucidity to confront any fears you come opon.

I think you answered your own question. The occurances were all unexpected. So you were suprised to come upon the lake/cut down trees/flags.

I would be shocked to if something weird and unexpected occurred.

Some times there isn't even a clear reason. You can just randomly get scared for no reason, or over stuff that seems really stupid while your awake. Though in this case, the stuff might just be intimidating because everything you said was big.

Your previous experiences have to do with current illogical fears too.

Maybe the tree scene as a child wired your mind to be afraid and startled at unexpected/changed things.
