Trouble Getting Induced.

Over the past few months, every now and then I try to see if I can get induced into a lucid dream but I can never get induced. I am fine with dream recall since I can usually recall 3 out of 5 dreams every night. What I don't understand is, how should I feel if I am going to be induced? The closest I have felt that was weird when trying to be induced is feeling a little paralyzed. I get to the point where I am totally relaxed, but in a way I am not due to my heart beating fast because of my excitement. Is it "ok" that I feel my heart beating fast when trying to be induced?

What exactly are you saying about getting induced? What methods are you using, WILD, WBTB?

Your heart beating fast may be an issue since it sounds like you are not really relaxing enough.

I'm listening to this type of music that deals with Lucid Dreaming. My heart starts beating fast when I realize that it is not beating fast, but I still feel relaxed though. I just don't know if this has an impact when getting induced. Also, what is WILD and WBTB. To everyone here that is like a noob question, but I've been searching on this forum a few times a week just reading on people's expeirences. I do have an interest in dreaming since I usually talk about them openly.
