      Thumbs up

I wanted to lucid dream tonight, and I wanted to try a lucid dream MP3 track (just for fun) and I need help on how to do this. Can somebody step-by-step me? I'm lost and well, here. Which is right (if any)

      1. Set alarm clock to 5 hours till it rings.
      2. Play the LD MP3 track
      3. Wake up 5 hours later
      4. Turn off mp3, and go back to bed and hope to lucid.

      Or, this one

      1. Set alarm clock to 5 hours later
      2. Go to bed.
      3. Wake up 5 hours later
      4. Turn MP3 track on
      5. Do what it says, and hope to have a LD.

The mp3 track says it wakes you up in 1 hour and 20 minutes.

You seem to have complicated your methods. All it needs is three steps.

      1) Go to bed with alarm set to go off in about five hours.
      2) play mp3
      3) back to bed

The first REM cycle begins in 90 minutes, with each succeeding REM period coming a bit sooner. So if you allow yourself to sleep 5 hours, by that time there had already been 3 REM Cycles and they should then be coming less than an hour apart.

so if the MP3 thing is spaced for 80 minutes then it could be useful for only the first and second REM cycles, and then maybe the 4th and the 6th, allowing the 5th REM Cycle to flit by.

If one has a lot of time to sleep, one can buy 6 little countdown timers, setting the first to 90 minutes, the next to 80 minutes, the next to 70 minutes, the next to 60 minutes, the next to 60 minutes and the last to 50 minutes. These beepers, if they are not overloud may alert you to the fact that you are dreaming, as the sound may be incorporated into the Dream and you will recognize it as your Lucid Alarm. Or, as a consolation, you may be awoken just after your REM Cycle giving you the opportunity to remember your dreams. You see, most of the time we sleep through our REM Cycles and thus forget our dreams. We remember only those dream we wake up for.

Thanks for the help guys. I never tryed to do a lucid dream unless it was a natural one. So tonight, will be my first attemp. And because it's my first attempt, I'm gona do a tape just so i know i'm doing it right. Will it work? Well, I heard it doesn't always work the first time, it takes pratice. It matters the person, So i guess we will have to find out!

can't you just play the mp3 audio as ur going to sleep? I tested this for bout 20 min with the series 2 audio, and even tho i never meant to go to sleep (i cant nap during day), it made me tired and i got a sweet sensation as i awoke myself.
