exploring the world of lucid dreaming:stephen laberge

creative dreaming:patricia garfield (it covers lucid dreaming along with other aspects of dreaming...very interesting)

the tibetan yogas of dream and sleep: tenzin ripoche (fairly dry, and not for everyone. but a different take on the subject).

the first two are must-reads

Laberge has two books out... one called "Lucid Dreaming" which is shorter, more expensive ($20) and includes a CD with hypnosis tracks, among other things, and "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" cowritten with Howard Rheingold which is $7.50. If you're going to pick one, go with "Exploring..." it's more detailed and the CD that comes with "Lucid Dreaming" isn't worth the extra cost.

Err, gimme 2 mins to get the CD.

CD Sessions

[1]
Your Present State of Consciousness
and the Lucid Dreaming State 9:42

[2]
Guided Reality Test 4:33

[3]
The Mnemonic Induction of Lucid dreams 5:18

[4]
Dream Lotus and Flame Technique 8:53

[5]
Trance Induction of Lucid Dreaming: Day 18:40

[5]
Trance Induction of Lucid Dreaming: Night 18:42

(Direct type-over of the last page)

Basically:

Track 1: Thinking about the waking life state, the dreaming state, the lucid dreaming state, and comparing them. Talking about consciousness.

Track 2: Guided Reality Test. If you go to the attaining lucidity forum you'll find a topic called something in the lines of "How to do a proper reality test". This is about the same.

Track 3: MILD. A guided MILD. Tutorial section's "MILD Guide" is about the same.

Track 4: Dream Lotus and Flame Technique is a guilded WILD. It's about imagining a lotus flower with a flame on it in your throat, yet thinking about how heavenly it feels. It's a Dream Yoga (by the Tibetans) technique. This is imho the only track that's really worth it. I could rip it and host it somewhere if you want.

Track 5+6: Tranced Induction of LDs. AKA: HILD. I refer you to the tutorial section.

If you need any tracks ripped, just drop me a PM or post in this topic - I've enabled Email Notification so I'll read any replies.

Again i reccommend CC's The Art of Dreaming. which exlpores the mystical siode to dreaming.

customer review:

"I generally don't have time to type reviews online. This book is the one that will knock the walls down and give you the tools to change your life. The experiences that you will have in dreaming, just by reading this book, will forever change how you view the world. If I were to recommend one single book to someone seriously interested in Toltec knowledge, this would be the one. It will be some time before the truths and power found in this book will be recognized for what they are by western society. Are you ready to be blown away?"

Thanks for that Tweak but all those tracks are chapters in "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming" which I already own; so I won't need any ripped, thanks a lot for the offer though.

I would also recommend, "Concscios Dreaming" by Robert Moss... absolutely perfect! Just awesome.

There is also "Lucid Dreaming: the Dawning of a Clear Light" which is realy good from a scientific yet spiritual perspective.

And although it is not a Lucid Dreaming book, "Journeys Out of the Body" by Robert Monroe. This book may deepen your scope concerning Lucid Dreaming because it deals with Astral Projection, something very close and valuable to dreaming.

Hey, it's not so bad being a Brit: some things you can get that others can't... I would recommend:-

"Toltec Dreamer" by Graham Kane;

..plus..

"The Art of Dreaming" by Carlos Castaneda.

Well as others have said, you don't need to read any book to acheive lucid dreaming. But it's not like anyone should think they are compromising their values by reading books about dreaming. It'll only help, at a minimum it will keep you thinking about dreaming which will help you think about dreaming when you are dreaming.
