How Do U Know It's A Big Dream And Not Two Little Ones?

It souns kinda stupid, i know...but the first time i tried to write my dreams down, i could remember..3 dreams, but the last two of them, altough they had no apparent connection, were linked by this magazine..it appeared in both - in the first my cous ussed it to kill some flies and in the second i was walking down the street holding it... None of these was a lucid dream, i've never had one..but my question is, was it a dream or were there 2? what's the difference? and one more thing, i never seem to remember my whole dream, i remember a lot, but i always have the feeling that there was more to it? what's with that? is it normal? thanks in advance if u can help!

Yeah, that's fairly normal. I usually refer to such things as episodes. There's one dream every 1.5 hours and it may have a few episodes. Sometimes they are totally different. I put such dreams as one entry adding some notes like "before this I saw that" as well as few random things I may remember

I, most of the time, forget how dreams transisted from one scene to another, and so on, I think it's quite normal. You tend to forget when scenes change, it becomes blurry and we think the scene changed. Maybe in your dream, that was YOUR magazine, and your cousin took it and killed the fly with it. You probably where going home with the magazine in your hand. We just forget changes or they get blurry when trying to remember it, like this morning in a dream, I forgot how I went to the last floor of the building . All I remember I was in the main entrance hall, said hi or something, and went to the last floor, I may have even went back and forth, but it's all so blurry.
