I havent been a member long here but in the time i have been here i have aquired alot of information regarding Lucid dreams, but i have also found inspiration in a few movies which in my eyes show a great perspective on lucid dreams and what to expect when you finally acheive Lucidity.

Here are a few in which i have seen and i would appreciate it if anyone has any more titles which are the subject of lucid dreams to post the name of it here as i find that watching a lucid movie before sleeping can help alot more than reading about it for me.

      1. Vanilla Sky - Great film takes the concept of lucid dreams to the extreme with loads of references to controlling your dreams.

      2. What Dreams May Come - Colourful yet imaginative film which plot takes you deep into the dream world and beyond.

      3. Waking Life - Weird but colourful film very hard to grasp the concept of the plot, the mix of animation and real video images makes it a visual marvel.

These are the movies which i have come across in my lucid path i would recommend watching them if only out of curiosity they are really a great inspiration.

      Thx

I remember hearing Sleeping beauty by Steve Vinberg is about lucid dreaming. It may even be a documentary as the majority of his work is.

Yes it did!! Due to the nature of my personality i am not much of a reader so i choose to watch films which can do the same job and give the same information as a well written book.

      Thx

Some parts of the movie really remind me of Lucid Dreaming.

When Morpheus and Neo spar in the dojo in a program. Morpheus is trying to teach Neo to believe he's fast and can do lots of crazy shit (Dream Control).

Same with the jump program. Morpheus tells Neo that he has to "let it all go. Fear, doubt and disabelief. Fear your mind." Then he runs and jumps across an impossible gap between two buildings. When Neo jumps and falls, it shows what could happen if you don't truly believe in yourself and that you can do whatever you want.

The Matrix is like an analogy for the dream world.

I really agree with you on this, it all depends on your belief of what you as a person can acheive then lets all your reality fears go....

      Thx

      Yup.

The matrix has always been my greatest lucid dreaming inspiration, even so, above any actual "lucid dreaming" movies that I've seen. (Waking Life, Mirror Mask, etc.)

Oh and Sostyles, I would definitely suggest seeing Mirror Mask if you haven't seen it yet. It's sort of like an Alice in Wonderland meets Wizard of Oz meets Nightmare Before Christmas. Great flick, even better that it's about lucid dreaming.

Cool i will have to look at that film how old is it, is it new or a few years old? Yeah the matrix bends reality to the very limit of our minds and then throws you into a new reality where anything is possible.

My answer to pyrex is Vanilla sky it is what i watched before sleep the night of the lucid dream. Maybe it will have the same effect on you Good Luck!

      Thx

Mirror Mask is the newest piece by the Jim Henson team. (I think I spelled the last name right) Came out last year.
