I've been having a terrible dryspell for many months now. I've come to realise what it is that keeps me from happy dreaming, recalling my dreams and attaining lucidity. I thought back at the times I had lucid dreams: They were happy times without too much worries on my Mind.
I've had a dryspell for about 7 months, together with insomnia and an unpeacefull Mind: Too much shit is happening around me: Friends, Girlfriend, Sister having fallin ill and me having caught the Flu lately too. These are all one by one factors that make me unhappy or add up to my unhappyness.
Having grief and bad luck in love and friendship can make one's Mind pretty restless and unhappy. It's simply waaaay too chaotic to even have any space left for Lucid Dreaming. My mind needs to be naturally blank first. It is not only the reasonfor my long dryspell but also for my terrible Insomnia: which in turn works to drive me a little mad and make me more so unhappy and restless. It's kind of a Catch 22.
I think moving to a Buddhist Temple in Buthan for serveral weeks would do me good -_- It's amazing how profoundly SHIT people are sometimes. How those you thought loved you only serve to hurt and confuse you.
So ending my dryspell, in my case, really means staying away from friends that do bad things and make me worry ( Cocaine, Too much Drugs in General and Criminal actions ) and take some time to rest my Mind ( It's no good when someone you wholeheartedly love does nothing but confuse you, never gives you a call and suddenly completely ignores you...well you know what happened when she does that ) Luckily I've just made up things with my Girlfriend so that takes a whole load off stress off of my Shoulders. I really couldn't afford to loose her.
I spend alot of time alone Meditating and readig about LDing and when I am with people they are only people who have a somewhat warm heart and understanding of such deep and disturbing feelings as I'm experiencing. People like that are rare, but they are there.
Taking this sort of rest has already led me to have one wonderfull memorable LD a week or 2 ago. New trouble came and my Dryspell continued.
Now I don't ask for pitty. I've been in the game of life for 20 years and I've learned that it's Good times, Bad times, Good times, Bad times...etc and I have learned to suffer with a Smile, knowing that after this crap new happyness will replace this bullshit. So It's not like I'm totally depressed and asking for loads of pitty. Misery: I've seen it all before and a 1000 times worse, so this doesn't impress me much.
If you have a similair situation in your life, when you think ''well I've certainly had better days with less worries on my mind'' then it will defenitely be the reason for your dryspell: Too much Bullshit on your mind. You need a Calm Mind fro Dreamrecall and Lucid Dreaming.
