Hi,
This topic has probably already been covered (although I can't find it anywhere), but:
When & where did you find out about LDing? Or are you a natural LDer and have always had LDs?
Personally, I found out about LDing two weeks ago ago on wikipedia while looking at the article for sleep. I saw the link for the article on 'Dream', and then 'Lucid Dreaming', and ever since, I've been trying to breathe through my nose every two minutes (so far 1 LD from nose plugging, works good  ).

I saw it in a magazine called "Science Illustrated", however, I first started studying the subject a year later. Been on this for like 3 month, only had a maybe 8 lucid dreams, but I approached the whole thing very badly. I started of, without almost any dream-recall. Right now, I've almost stopped trying. I do WBTB every night, but it's only to improve the recall. When I do WBTB, I get clearer and better recall. I've not lost the motivation though. In the few LDs I've had, I've had great fun. Just the entire idea, of being in a new place every night, makes me warm inside.

If you've has 8 in 3 months you're doing good.
Technically, the way I found out was by accident. When I was younger I used to occasionally become lucid for no apparent reason in a dream. This has only happened an average of maby one or two times a year since then. It's taken me till turning 25 to realize I want to really focus on this, though I always remember it being awesome. It's just been something I've only recently decided I want to dedicate myself to!

Found 'bout it on the last days of March of this same year. I had still one month left for my final exams but I was already studying (such a devoted student I am ... not) when I decided to take a break in between study hours and searched on google for random subjects (which has always been an hobby of mine, until I recently found the wonders of Wikipedia).
Dreams have always fascinated me long before I was introduced to the concept of LDs, so I gave it a go. Eventually I came across the words "Lucid Dreaming" and I thought like, 'the hell's that?'
Since then, and before I found Dream Views, I've read endless pages about LDing, FAs, sleep paralysis, REM sleep, sleep patterns and of that theorical stuff we all hopefully know now.
When I did find out about Dream Views and scrolled through the boards and the tutorials, well, I was amazed to find out that I could actually learn it too, easily. (I actually thought it was a hard skill to master until I've read the tutorials)
... Since then I've had 14 LDs. Been a little low on it lately, mostly because it's too damn hot where I live and I have a rough time falling asleep at night, or simply the occasional insomnia (blessed be the amethyst under my pillow) so it's a little tricky to set an alarm clock to exactly 5 hours later.

I knew of it since way back, but it was first when i did a search on wikipedia in june that i got to know of the term, and some websites related to this. It was a good time to start trying to lucid dream, so i did.

I found out about it Jul 6th 2006 from my brother telling me about his friend doing it. I then saw Waking Life three days later. I joined the forum two days after that and I've had 6 lucid dreams since and I'm remembering up to four dreams a nightif I'm not disturbed. YAY DV!! :yumdumdoodledum:
