Is it just me, or do other people also feel really messed up when they get woken up midway through as dream? I'm always super tired and not able to keep balenced for a couple minutes.

I do all the time..I hate it when that happens...
i rekon its worser when ur on the couch in a half dream or on the verge of obe..or even returning to ur body when u jump ..or spasm
like a powerful jolt sometimes
I managed to fall out of bed whilst dreaming the other week. Everything seemed to move so slowly and when i hit the ground i heard no noise or anything. Bloody shoulder hurt though!
I had a great dream where I was talking to a person, and he is about to tell me something really important and right when he opens his mouth the phone rang! I never found out, it was an important thing about lucid dreaming too, could of been secret to lucid dreaming every night. Guess I will never know.
Hahaha, it's funny (not at the time though) when i wake up from a dream, and i have cotton mouth like a biOch. So i quickly stand up, and fall the fuck over on the ground; POW!
hahaha. That glass of water tastes great after a head collision
I hate when someone wakes me up during my dream. I totally forget the dream and cant recall it later... No body feelings tho...
body feelings are strange sometimes ey......at college a few days ago i was an hour early and it was cold so i curled up in a chair outside and started to try get in a trance....i think i drifted off into sleep for a lil while then like an entering sensation i was conscious again....except my feet i could not feel..not one bit....i couldnt get up or anything for about 5 minutes....was awosme
Man that happened to me just this morning... My cell phone was on my dresser and the ring tone is annoying as hell. So someone decided to call me at around 7 AM during a pretty damn cool dream. I actually thought it was one of the people in my dream calling me, ha. But whatever, I'll just have to call the person that woke me up at 3:30 tomorrow morning.
I feel messed up a lot! Especially after an intense LD. I've had times when I have commuted to work and performed constant reality checks because it felt like I was still in dreamland.Quote:

I often feel out of sorts when i wake up suddenly from sleeping.... I can't talk straight. I got a phone call today during a nap and was like, "um, um.... yeah!" I was a wake but not really. Very frustrating, people tend to make fun of me because i say crazy shit right when i wake up.... I'm really not all there! Ask me anything right outa a dream and I grantee you will laugh your ass off!!!

It's the after effect of SLEEP PARALYSIS. It's merely wearing off; letting the concious take control, rather than the subconcious.
:goodjob2:
I think there's a name for the phenomon: sleep inertia. It is most likely to happen when waking out of Delta or REM sleep, the two "deepest" stages. Also, my thinking tends to be somewhat disoriented for about 5-10 minutes.. like if I had a dream about snakes in the fridge, I'd be afraid to open the fridge for quite some time feeling totally convinced that there really are snakes inside.
On a somewhat unrelated side note, once when my alarm went off, I didn't wake up but it trigger an alarm in my dream to go off! That alarm looked exactly like my alarm in real life and it took me at least 5 minutes struggling to try to turn off that alarm when I finally realized I was dreaming. Too bad I couldn't go on with the lucidity; the ringing of the alarm clearly suggested to me, even when I was asleep, that I had to be somewhere else quick..
I really never feel that bad when I wake up from delta sleep. I actually feel pretty good. It's probably because of sleep paralysis like lowercase said.
I really get disoriented if I sleep somewhere outside of my home. I will sit there in the dark for a minute and ask myself -where the heck am I?
I would think if you were dreaming or in a LD, you would be less disoriented when awaken because your that much closer to conciousness. As opposes to being in your deepest sleep.
I don't really get that messed up I mean it takes a little bit to get focused. I guess it depends on how Im awaken. If someone does it abrubtly and with lots of energy then Im sooo disoriented. They could walk me over to the garbage can and tell me to get in and go to sleep and chances are I would at that point. But if someones calling my name or something then Im cool, and I wake up just fine.
