Wierd Experience

Hey guys,

Had a bit of a wierd experience this afternoon. :|
First of all, I'll start off by saying that this morning I woke up, wrote 2 full dreams in my dream journal, as usual. I knew I that there was another dream just waiting to be un-lodged from my memory, but I just couldn't get it. After trying many different sleeping positions, like I'd seen suggested, I decided to get up and go about things as usual, and hope it would come to me later. For some reason, I REALLY wanted to remember this dream. I felt like it meant something to me, more than other dreams.
Anyways, this afternoon I was playing drums, and I had headphones on because i was playing to a song I'm learning. Anywho, something in the song, I cant remember the particular song now, but something in the lyrics had reminded me of something. Then it hit me. I got the most vivid, clear picture in my mind I have even experienced. This struck me heavily, so heavily that I just stopped playing and sat there, amazed. The picture was of a friend I havn't seen in about 4 years, and it was some like a 'snapshot' from the dream that I previously. couldn't remember. He looked worried, not upset, but it looked as though something was bothering him. I still can't remember the full dream, just this image.
It's hard to put into words how vivid and clear this picture was. It was so clear it scared me. Clearer than any dream or thoughts I have ever had.
Does anybody have any idea about what this could mean? I'm really stuck on it.
Sorry for the length, but I tried to provide enough details on the situation so you could get a good idea. Any help would be appreciated :)

Did the picture involve itself with the unremembered dream, or at least seem like it? It could very well be an astral picture, or a pre-cog. Wait for other opinions on this though.

build off of it. lay down and think about it more, the circumstances might come back to you then you might get more of the dream. -- i do this too. i'll be taking my shower in the morning and i'll remember some little things from the dreams i had the night before that aren't in my journal.
