I've watched the preview for the movie a while ago. It looks crazy, it will be interesting to see what exactly happens and if lucid dreams are mentioned.
I'm not to sure if its lucidity. I could be just normal dreams. but honestly i dont know
I've seen this movie, even before I found out about Lucid Dreaming, and it pretty much changed my life. Got me very interested in dreams, and films, and stop motion. And Michel Gondry. It's probably the best film I've ever seen.
I highly recommend it, and you would probably all love it... plus, it's where my icon is from :)
It's not about lucidity as far as I know. Just a guy who confuses his dreams with reality.
I'm excited for it. I plan to see it this Thursday.
Tornado Joe, Mitz_31, me and my wife went to see it last night.
I won't give away any details.
I can say I was a little disappointed.
I liked the humorous aspect to it though. :)
My girlfriend and I went to see this movie yesterday.
I really liked it. The movie was more about the content of the main character's dreams, and how they mixed and mingled with his daily waking life, like everyone has mentioned. Very visually oriented of course, and abstract in its own way. I wouldn't recommend going to see this movie expecting to learn anything about lucid dreaming, but the visuals and content are interesting on their own.
I really enjoyed it and will probably go see it again...
Eh? I don't know what you're implying, but a lucid dream shouldn't be lacking a sense of reality and reality shouldn't feel like a dream. If you got the two confused, how could you ever become lucid?
As for the movie, I talked to a guy today that was disappointed by the story, but impressed by the visuals and music. I was actually expecting that, but regardless, I'll spend a fraction of my one day off watching the movie.

Obviously, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I found it to be a really fantastic film :) The visuals were what made it for me, and even though the story was a little predictable at times, it was easy to ignore that and enjoy it all anyway ^_^
Only psychosis makes people always confused about which reality they're in. However, even hardcore LDers wouldn't claim they're in 100% control of their world. What is so intriguing about LDs are those few seconds when you realize you're in a dream, it's like you're suspended between many potential truths, almost mystical. Finally, i don't know if you ever had series of false awakenings, but i can assure you it can be very confusing!
anybody know if it will be on tv, or like hbo and all them?
