Also, I'd tell said DC all my secrets, take him/her under my wing to become lucid. And the raper would be killed personally by me. Tee hee.

I'd never do anything that (within limits) violated my moral code. Ergo, I also wouldn't have sex, maliciously harm someone (without just cause), smoke (seems like it would be kind of surperfluous anyway), etc. I might try a few things some day that seem more mundane just to see what it's like to do them in a dream, but there are bigger fish to fry at the moment.
Keep in mind an adventure to save the world that involved a face-to-face confrontation with evil wouldn't necessarily be out of my jurisdiction.
like tweak said, i wouldn't want to waste a dream on something as mundane as say, practicing piano, like i've heard some people do.
i find that to be a waste of a dream because, hell you can do it in real life. and if your that into piano playing, why don't you play piano instead of going on the computer?

I've heard a story of a master LDer on Ld4all, who had this brainwave measuring device. He went into a lucid dream and autosuggested "I'm going to let go of everything" or something like that. Suddenly his entire dream scene faded and he was pulled into a white tunnel. He felt like he was dying, somehow. He managed to wake himself up right before entering the tunnel. He checked his brainwave measuring device, and indeed: for about 5-6 secs he actually had no brain activity (0hz).
Inducing a near death experience, that's what I would never do. :P

Talking about trying to WILD in a lucid dream, since if you are experienced in a lucid, you can do practically anything, I am planning to do this;
Keep inducing lucid dreams in lucid dreams. So when it is time to wake up, you will keep waking up from the dreams. lol, that is gonna be awesome.
Me being a piano player, I would practise in a lucid dream. Why? Because of the realism of a lucid, plus the substancial amount of knowledge already gained from piano (10 years), you can play the piece your learning perfectly straight off. Then you would remember the feel/touch, and you would apply that to real life. Turn 15 minutes of practise into 3 hours. Oh wait, i think I meant the other way round lol.

I'm kind of agreeing with keeper on some of the things.
Sex is actually a pretty good answer of something not to do in a dream. Since I try to stay away from masterbation and adultery, or pornography if you will. Then it would just be immoral to attempt it in a dream. Plus I think it would be more fun to ride a motorcycle... going 200 mph and then mess up but just get right up with an unscratched bike! muahaha...
But I think the thing I wouldn't do in a lucid dream is 'cause harm to someone, or just let them die when I could help them. Like if a bunch of uber-matrix demons are about to rip someone to shreds and I just watch, I don't think that I would want that to happen to someone.

I dont like to place any contraints on the dreaming world, but I find i still have morals in dreams and so never even consider things like rape and pointless murder etc.
The thing about lucid dreams is that I wake up afterwards and have a great feeling all day, that possibly lasts the whole week. If id tortured and raped someone or commited some sexual offence on a child during my dream id likely have bad thoughts and flashbacks about it and end up hating myself for the whole week instead of feeling good. I dont avoid those situations, they thankfully never cross my mind, and if they did id never act on them.

Usually, if I try to do something extreme or 'immoral', like sex, I get pulled out of the dream. When I was a kid I had this belief there was a 'keeper' who let people be in the dream world, but you couldn't do anything wrong, or he would throw you out. :)
I don't have anything against doing 'such' things, however; if you cheat on your spouse in your dreams, I would reluctantly call it cheating. Reluctantly, because I am a man and thus has such uncontrollable desires, but that does not change the moral aspect. You should be able to keep yourself under control, even in dreams. Remember, if you cheat in your dreams, it's because you not only wanted to, but you did it as well, because you knew you wouldn't get caught. And what kind of morality is that? Sure, we all have strong fantasies and desires (including rape), but controlling it is an important aspect in mastering your own psyche.
You may argue that letting go of your restrictions and act out your fantasies is good, and I won't question that. To some extent I even agree. I just try to put it in perspective: If you cheat, you cheat.

Why all the buzz with the killing and raping stuff? It is not an ethical question unless it involves other people. Since DC's are not people, but rather projections of what you think is likely to happen, killing or raping DC's is not an ethical question.

last night i had a dream that disturbed me though (non lucid) and i was with my good friends girlfriend and we were intimate. bugged me the fucc out, but if i was lucid i probably wouldnt stop it, because its just a dream and she is a hottie.

Nothing, there are no boundaries. Everything is a possibility in my eyes. Its only a dream after all.
I wouldn't kill random people in sick twisted ways. Example... I would not chop up someone and eat them. Or skin someone alive. I may take a machinegun and shoot everyone down.. or blow up buildings.. Because thats more action movie type stuff. But i wouldn't do things that resemble serial killers.
I also wouldn't do gay stuff.
There is nothing I wouldn't do at least once. If I feel crummy after doing something once, I just won't do it anymore.
Basically its pretty simple:
Don't do anything that goes against your own personal values/morals.
Because you are lucid and in control, u would wake up and know what you did was a decision (not like a normal crazy dream), and therefore, you would end up regretting it.
But in the end, its a dream. How real u say it is, is up to u :wink:
