My reason for asking this is, I've been taking medicine for my allergies for the past couple of months, and I haven't had a lucid dream or anything close to one.
Also, my dream recall's gone to shit, and I wake up completely disoriented sometimes, not even knowing what the numbers on my clock mean. I take it before I go to bed, so that might be the cause of the problem.
I take:
-Singulair
-CVS Brand Antihistamine
-Vitamins
I'm mainly concerned about the CVS medicine, but the Singulair could be doing something as well.

There are several medicines that impair LDing or even dreaming in general. Each medicine has slightly different effects on each person, so it's hard to say whether a particular medicine will affect everybody the same way. Either way, both of those medicines have a side effect of drowsiness-and when you're exhausted both recall and lucidity tend to fail.

Like Tsen said its hard to say the effects of medicine on LDs, some can suppress LDs but some vitamins can make the dreams more vivid, e.g B6.
I haven't heard about being disoriented when waking up? Maybe its because you take more then one type of medicine before you go to bed.

Sometimes medications do supress LDS. However, your health is far more important than LDs. So, if you need to take the medication, don't stop because of the suppression. I mean, it sucks, but still...
