I was wondering, how did some of you find out about lucid dreaming?
I was on another forum site and someone mentioned it.
I had one then I found a book about it.
I think this topic has already been made.
I found out about lucid dreaming because a while back I saw these "self-hypnosis" mp3s called "Lucid Dreaming", and I thought it was pretty cool, but I never tried them. A couple of months later I remembered them and thought "Ah well, let's try em", so I googled Lucid Dreaming. Then I found out what it really is :P
I had an apocalyptic dream and decided to get it interpreted. Stumbled on this site and thought Lucid Dreaming would be much easier to use to interpret it. Now Im hooked on trying to LD just to LD :P

Well if you any of you wanted to know mine I was messing around at howstuffworks.
I was looking around on Wikibooks, and I came across the one about lucid dreaming. So I decided to read it and it sounded pretty cool. And that's how I started. :content:
sugarglider11, do you mean howstuffworks.com?
ummmmmmmmm
I had one lucid dream accidentaly when I was a child =P. And suddenly I stumbled across this site. "Hey, lucid dreaming? Cool xD". So, here I am.
HI this is the best lucid dream site on the net everyone is friendly and relaxed. I have been reading it for a long time as you can see by my join date, but had a while off lucid dreaming. I found out about lucid dreaming from waking up to my radio and this guy was talking about controlling dreams with a device that some asian guy invented. I then searched on the net and read all I could on lucid dreaming and then found this forum a while later. :bigteeth:
I was on a message board I used to frequent, and I started reading a thread about inducing sleep paralysis on yourself. Someone briefly mentioned lucid dreaming in a reply, saying that in a lucid dream you can do whatever you want. I immediately looked into it more. I almost couldn't believe what I was reading, because it sounded too good to be true.
I found out about it while reading Stephen LaBerg's "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming"
I also managed to give an oral book report on that book in seventh grade. I went to a Catholic school, and the English teacher didn't freak out on me at all, I was kinda surprised at that. :P

well, i kinda already new that you could control dreams, back when i was like 9-11 i had a couple lucids
and i told my brother and my friend. i didn't know they where called lucid dream nor did i know that it was a skill
but my friend told me its been scientifically proven that you cant control your dreams
(he assumes he knew everything at the age of 9-11lol.)
i assumed he was right lol anyways just a couple weeks ago i was looking for a rain making program.
(the sound of rain makes me sleep)
i then stumbled across Dream Views and now here i am :bigteeth:
well I used to believe that I was abducted by aliens, and there are test's you can take online to see if you have been abducted. One of the symptoms of being abducted is the ability to have lucid dreams, so I did a search on it, to check out what it meant.
First time I heard the term Lucid Dreaming was in an article I read when I was half assed researching sleep paralysis.
