I really like this topic. "Is it okay to use the toilet?" Priceless. Anyways, it is (in my expirence) fine to use the bathroom. In fact, peeing should actually make you not pee, your mind discerns that your empty. But, if you do strat drowning in pee or something, ah... might want to wake up before you piss yourself.
Pee all you want. I use the toilet in my dreams. Sometimes I can't stop, haha! I've never wet the bed, usually I wake up actually having to pee though....
I have had many dreams where I go to the bathroom but I never really feel relieved. (it is a horrible feeling :blue: ) I never wet my bed though.
If you want to try it you could always use a plastic liner to protect your matress to be on the safe side, and after you find out if you do or not you can do it without it.
I once used a toilet in a non-lucid dream, nothing got wet in real life.
I don't think I've ever used the bathroom in a lucid dream. I've been IN LD bathrooms but never actually used the toilet.
Have used the bathroom in non lucids and haven't wet myself in reality. Can't see why peeing in a Lucid Dream would make someone pee in reality. But I may now try this out just because you have poked at my curiosity.
I make up for my lack of dream loo's in real life :P
I go to the toilet all the time in my dream. Well, it usually isn't a toilet, just some random place that never really makes sense. It doesn't make you piss in real life though.
ive used it in my dream and nothing bad has ever happened...
why not just make the urine disaper in the dream?
who needs a loo in the dream, anyway?
This discussion seems to have diverged. Non-lucid dreams, well, i cannot remember any accidents in the last few years. Lucid Dreams - I've never felt the urge.
Why doesn't someone try this in their next few LDs and report back.
A number of months ago, one of the Lucid Tasks was to lay an egg. There was some concern that someone might crap instead. Plenty of eggs were laid, but no accidents happened :)
Actually, my last lucid dream started with me at the toilet, and i started going, and i tested to see if i was going, and i was really, but it felt very real, it was amazing.
Last night I had a dream. Amazing I know, j.k.
I was in a bathroom waiting in line (whaaaa? Men's bathroom + line = apocolypticaedskildakd) and then everntually got to a toilet. After I finished my buisness I woke up and made sure my bed was not wet. It was not.
Hip hip hurray! :yumdumdoodledum:
Actually this reminds me of a dream.
It had something to do with a Subway commercial. Some lady ended up spilling some kind of condiment all over my pants and I remember feeling it really wet. Then I woke up in real life and I had wet my bed.
If that gets me to wet the bed, then I'm sure actually peeing in a dream would do it. I don't understand why you would want/need to though. Sees kind of pointless.
why the hell would you want to pee in your dreams?? just a little weird if you ask me.
DO NOT PEE IN A LUCID DREAM after my first time a very strong urge to piss like crazy came over me and i took one step and my whole bed was wet :panic: now i cannot wait 2 minuets to pee when i have to go i have to go NOW IT COMES OUT LIKE A FIRE HOSE and i wet the bed every night and if i hold it in my lucid dreams it hurts:eek: if i go i am never relived and i wet the bed
That doesn't sound like a dream issue. Your body is trying to tell you something. Like stop drinking water before bed.
I've peed in dreams to full release and my bed was fine. But I never peed the bed even when I was young. I lucked out in that respect.
lol epic necro, but yeah as melanieb said going to the toilet in a dream isn't going to make you wet the bed.
I actually had problems with this as a kid. Was a bed-wetter until I was about 6, and have had a handful of accidents later than that. I could sleep through anything. But yes, there have been plenty of times where I had been dreaming about going to the bathroom and woke up either already soaked, or became lucid in just enough time to say "OH NOES", wake up, cut off the stream and run to the bathroom IRL.
Even to this day, I'll try to avoid going to the bathroom in dreams, because I'm afraid of what might happen. Too many bad experiences, in the past. Tread carefully. :chuckle:
I have never wet the bed urinating in a dream. Actually, having to pee but being completely incapable of relieving myself has become a fairly reliable dream sign. This is almost a 100% way to get a short and low quality lucid dream because I always end up realizing how much I actually need to pee in waking life so I decide wake myself up (very disappointing). Sets me up great for WBTB though, lol.
Quite a few years back in a non-lucid, I used the restroom in a dream and woke up with wet sheets. Even though I was really young, I still try to stay away from doing that now, whether it be non-lucid or lucid. xD
Why would you even pee in a lucid?
Fly, use superpowers, eat, visit another planet, jump of a twenty story building?
Nope, I think I'll go use the toilet ;P
Anyway, this reminds me of a dream I had last night, I went to pee, and my penis was all... gross and bent and disfigured.
If it's safe, then to save time why not just pee yourself within the dream? It's not like you have to worry about hygiene issues or being embarrassed.
