Also, I was talking with someone that I had never talked with before. And for some reason I knew I was dreaming so I asked him. "whats your uncles name" just to test if he was indeed real. He hesitantly but quickly replied "Tom". Then I proceeded to tell them that he was insecure about talking to me because I knew he wasnt real. He looked at me distraught. Kinda like in Vanilla Sky i guess. Then I faded into conciousness even tho I did not want to. My question is how I can make these LDs last longer? And for those of you that have had experiences like this, what are some cool things to ask and talk about? Cause essentially you are talking to your subconcious right?
I was thinking
Whats the meaning of life?
How do you view yourself?
Sing something to me.
Draw me something.
EDIT: Random question. Is it true that lucid dreaming drains the brain of serotonin?
Any input is appreciated.

It's only real;y a WILD if you stayed conscious all the way from waking into the dream. Alcohol is supposed to supress REM, lowering dream recall dramatically while still in effect. This however results in REM catch-ups later on in the night, or next time you sleep, meaning they're a lot more vivid, long-lasting and stable. To improve your length of dreaming, try to interact with the dream a lot more, while remaining as calm as possible throughout. Finally, yeah you are talking to your subconscious, but in my experience, the subconscious doesnt seem to reply ernestly, instead just generating a random reply most of the time
