Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?

      I always do

Do you ever die in your dreams?

I do but remain in the dream as a spirit or ghost or I rewind the dream to when I was alive and start over so that I don't die the next time around.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?

I have never had a black and white dream.

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?

I constantly argue with my characters about the reality of the dream and they often get angry with me or defensive trying to convince me that the dream is real as well as themselves.

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?

Yep, all the time. That's why I'm here to try to learn to stop it.

I feel pain in my dreams, but not the sort of pain I would feel I were instead awake, and in the same situation. Many times, I've been hacked at with swords or other sharp objects, and the feeling is much more like a hard pinch.

When I was younger, I would often kill myself if I realized I was dreaming. I enjoyed the feeling I got from it. Lately, I rarely die in my dreams. I've never remained in a dream after dieing.

Whether or not I dream in color, I cannot say. But I do know that I always remember my dreams in color. Dreams are such a subjective experience and, for me, a rather vageuly formed memory, that its hard to tell what really happens in them.

I really never have much interaction with dream characters, partly because I have yet to reach a level of lucidity that would facilitate that. Dorm life really hampers dreaming.

I have memories which, when I was young, I was certain were real, but I have since figured out were dreams due to small clues in the memory, or the fact that nobody else recalls the events. I still have the occasion incredibly realistic dream, but I realize quite quickly upon awakening that it was only a dream.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?
I have only had one lucid [recently], and I wasn't in a situation that would cause me pain. At least not physically. But as for normal dreams, I have experienced it. I rarely get hurt, but when the pain should occur, it does.

Do you ever die in your dreams?
I usually wake up before I die.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?
I can't remember a black and white dream either. Are you sure these experts aren't just claiming animals dream in b&w? heh.

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?
In my lucid dream, I asked a character if he knew. He gave me a practically nonsensical answer. I didn't push the idea on him, as I had things I'd rather be doing for my first time ^-^

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?
Yeah. Well, it's mostly about memories that happened a while ago, but yes, I've had that many times.

.. was this supposed to be like a survey?
      ^_^
      I'm sorry if it wasn't...

Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?
Not that I can remember, but I feel fear.

Do you ever die in your dreams?
      I wake up.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?
heh, black and white? what are they smoking?

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?
don't think i've gotten that far

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?
yeah, I have before. I have dreams that are so amazing that I wan't them to be real, and dreams that are so horrible I'm both suprised and glad when I wake up. an example : I win a million dollars and before I go to accept it I wake up. OR I cut my brothers leg off with a hacksaw because i'm forced too.

was this a survey or a monologue?

Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?
Yes, but the pain only lasts a second and it's not more than a hard pinch.

Do you ever die in your dreams?
Yes. Not often, but I've tried it many times.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?
      I dream in colors.

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?
I rarely speak to people in my dreams. I am gonna do that someday

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?
I've tried that, but it's pretty rare for me.

Those experts obviously don't have much expertise.
Dreams are conceptual thought, not visual imagery. We do not dream in black & white, we do not dream in colour, we dream in concepts that are in turn interpreted to different degrees into sensory information.

I think it's a little weird that I feel pain in my dreams the same as real life pain and no one else does. I mean the pain will hurt so bad that it will wake me up and I'm still hurting for a couple seconds. Sometimes pain I'm already having will cause me to have a dream that creates a "reason" for the pain. For instance if I have menstrual cramps (sorry if tmi) at night I may dream that I get in a car crash and a tree lands on my stomach causing the pain. Other times the dreams provide pain that is not there in real life and the pain is very bad.

Melinda K: "Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?"

Yes. On two occasions it was excruciating.

"Do you ever die in your dreams?"

      No, never.

"Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?"

      Always colour. Experts schmexperts..

"Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?"

I've never tried to convince them of anything. If they say that they are real (which they invariably do) then so be it. I go with the flow on that one.

"Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?"

Not at the moment, but I've had periods where I have, as I wrote in your other thread.

Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?
Ocassionally; once I dreamed a snake bit me and I woke up and could still feel the pain.

Do you ever die in your dreams?
Well things happen that should kill me, and then I am like floating around in a void without a body, but I have never thought that I really died.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?
I think I used to, but not anymore. Sometimes things are dark tho.

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?
Yes I have; and they have sometimes denied it, or thought I was crazy.

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?
I sometimes have residual feelings left from dreams which can carryover into real life, like being mad at someone, but I don't really get confused about what happened. Once a loong time ago my friend dreamed that Cat Stevens was coming to town, and we were all excited and waiting for tickets to go on sale, and it never happened, and she realized it must have been a dream.

Actually, I once got a big pain in my neck. Somebody hit me in the dream. As I woke up, I still had the pain the rest of the day. I guess I somehow hit my head into something while asleep. Maybe sleep walking?

Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?
      Sometimes, but not regularly.

Do you ever die in your dreams?
If I do die, it's after a scenario where I am wounded severely and sort of sit around for a few minutes bleeding out. When death finally comes, my senses fade out and fade back in... either in the real world or a false awakening. If its a video game induced dream, I go back to my last "save point" and continue from there.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?
      Mine are always full color.

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?
Every once in a while I will get the urge to do this. They usually deny it or get upset, though.

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?
Yeah, I have that happen when I go on tremendous sleeping sprees like I did this past summer. I was averaging about a dream day worth of dreaming every night... so I would think I did something yesterday, when I really didn't. Or I would think the day was Friday, when it was really Wednesday. I'd get a good chuckle out of it after sorting it all out, and move on.

Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?

I haven't managed to have one yet,(that I remember), but in normal dreams I usually have a detachment from pain, no matter what is happening to me.

Do you ever die in your dreams?

Don't think so. I've had things done to me like being shot, cut, stabbed, etc but I always wake up before I die.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?

I can honestly say that MOST of my dreams in the past appeared to be in black and white or varying shades of gray. Lately I've had more color dreams, or partially colored dreams.

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?

Haven't had a chance to try yet.

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?

Yep a lot of the time I do.

Do you feel pain during your lucid dream?

Not that I can think of, but that's because things that would cause me pain in my dreams don't happen. My dreams are either completely absurd either nice or boring.

Do you ever die in your dreams?

      Nop, never happened.

Do you dream in black and white like Experts claim dreams are in?

      Always color.

Do you try to convince people in your dream that they are in "your" dream or that they do not exist?

Haven't had a proper lucid dream yet, but I was once trying to convince my aunt in a semi-lucid dream that things weren't happening and she told me that I was an idiot...

Do you experience confusion during the day about whether you dreamed something or whether it really happend?

Yeah, and that sure is scary! I have all these memories of places that I only vaguely remember and I tell them to people in hope that one of them will tell me "yeah, that actually happened" because I really really can't tellif it did...

      Hope I helped.

In both my lucid and non-lucid dreams I have never felt physical pain.

Yes I have died in quite a few times. I remember this one dream so perfectly... I was in an underground parking lot and was shot in a drive by. I looked down and saw the beads of blood trickling through the wounds and for some reason it was beautiful. I thought it was really cool that I was dead and that there was "something more". I felt as if I knew the meaning of forever. I was invisible, but only to people who didn't know me in real life. My friends and family could all see me but they knew I was passed away. ( I guess I was a ghost or something).

I have never dreamed in black and white.

No I never try to convince people.. If I'm lucid dreaming I just galavant around and do random things.. Though this is something I'll add to my to do list.

I experience confusion between dreams and real life somewhat frequently.. Especially when I have been out drinking, I come home and dream about the same people and place, so I find it hard to distinguish if what happened was a dream fragment or reality.
